    Already in the oldest cultures, numbers were used not only for counting, but humans used them to tame and organise the world and attributed to them magical, mystical and causative powers. It is difficult to characterise all cultural and linguistic areas in which the number three plays a very important role and performs many functions. Out of necessity, this article will limit itself to selected ones: various contemporary and past religions; folk culture; sports; children’s rhymes and counting books; phraseological idioms, proverbs and maxims. Triads occur extremely often in the physical and mental world of many societies, because the number three is considered lucky, perfect, often even sacred, basic in many areas of life (among others in folklore, in fairy tales, in literature, in games and plays, spells, aphorisms, wishes).

    Opis:
    Artificial roughness has been found to enhance the thermal performance from the collector to air in the solar air heater duct. This paper presents the results of experimental investigation on thermal performance of three sides solar air heater roughened with combination of multiple-v and transverse wire. The range of variation of system and operating parameters is investigated within the limits of relative roughness pitch of 10−25, relative roughness height of 0.018 −0.042, angle of attack of 30°−75° at varying flow Reynolds number in the of range of 3000−12000 for fixed value of relative roughness width of 6. The augmentation in fluid temperature flowing under three side’s roughened duct is found to be 36.57% more than that of one side roughened duct. The maximum thermal efficiency is obtained at relative roughness pitch of 10 and relative roughness height of 0.042, and angle of attack of 60°. The augmentation in thermal efficiency of three sides over those of one side roughened duct is found to be 46−57% for varying values of relative roughness pitch, 38−50% for varying values of relative roughness height, and 40−46% for varying values of angle of attack.

    Przedstawiono wyniki badań błędu oceny współczynnika rozszerzenia przybliżoną metodą efektywnej liczby stopni swobody przy pomiarach posrednich. Porównanie otrzymanych wyników ze znaną oceną tych błędów przy pomiarach bezpośrednich pozwoliło na okreslenie tendencji zmian błędów oceny współczynnika rozszerzenia, kiedy rośnie liczba składowych niepewności standardowych. Wykorzystano do badań znajomość charakterystyk współczynnika rozszerzenia dla splotu trzech wybranych rozkładów prawdopodobieństwa.
    The results of examining error evaluation of the coverage factor with approximate method of effective degrees in indirect measurements have been presented in the paper. comparison of the results obtained with the known evaluation of these errors in direct measurements enabled to determine the change tendency of the error of covertage factor evaluation, when the number of components of standard uncertainties grows. The knowledge of coverage factor characteristics for the convolution of three selected probability distributions was used for the examination.
