    Opis:
    W niniejszym artykule scharakteryzowano metody służące do rozwiązywania problemów wielokryterialnych. Opisano także wybrane metody oceny wpływu budynków na środowisko oraz wagi przyjęte w tych systemach. Z przedstawionego przykładu widać, że istnieje rozbieżność w przyporządkowywaniu wag emisji otrzymywanych na podstawie kosztów emisji i wg metody analizy hierarchicznej.
    This paper presents the methods for solving multicriteria problems, methods of assessment for building environment efficiency and the weights for these systems. The example shows that there is a discrepancy in attributing emissions weights based on the cost issue and according to the method of analytical hierarchy process.

    Opis:
    Modelling of a decision-maker’s preferences in multi-criteria decision analysis is performed using weights that reflect the relative importance of the given decision criteria. The determination of accurate values of the weights is therefore of considerable importance. Numerous means and methods are used for this purpose, such as: the entropy method (i.e., the method of objective weights), the Simos method, the SWARA method, the ANP or AHP methods, and many others. This paper analyses the DEMATEL method, frequently used to identify cause-and-effect relationships. Nowadays, it is often used in multi-criteria decision analyses. In the opinion of some authors, DEMATEL may be useful also to determine the weights of criteria. However, the approach presented by these authors has certain drawbacks. The present paper proposes a different approach to the weighting procedure using DEMATEL. Using numerical examples, it also presents weights determined by this method and compared to those obtained using the AHP method.

    Opis:
    The aim of this research is to propose particular measures aimed at streamlining costs in terms of operations in a selected company. A specific proposal is based on the concept related to using services of the transport databank. As at least two out of five major carriers of the investigated company resell shipments to other carriers on such portals, the company could reduce the transport costs by entering shipments into the transport databank on its own. One out of three selected providers will be chosen using multi-criteria evaluation methods, specifically, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (hereinafter referred to as AHP) and the Base-criterion method. Determination of the weights of criteria will be carried out using the Saaty method of quantitative pair wise comparison and the Fuller pair wise comparison method. In this paper, the presented methods are applied for the example of a specific company specialized in the manufacture of metal storage racks and steel structures. In the Czech Republic, the company employs 65 employees in production, storage and administration. Based on the analytical evaluation of the current situation of the company, relevant measures will be proposed with a required effect on the effectiveness of such an enterprise.

    Opis:
    The aim of the article is to present the possibilities of using the AHP method in the project process. The first part of the article discusses the theoretical assumptions of the method of AHP (analytic hierarchy process). At the beginning, the rules of construction of the system hierarchical structure and procedures for assessing elements of the system are described. The second part of the article focuses on the characteristics of the case study. The article assumes that a comprehensive evaluation of project variants is not only the basis for choosing the best solution, but also allows a deeper understanding of the complex decision problems.
    Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie możliwości wykorzystania metody AHP w procesie projektowania. W pierwszej części artykułu omówione zostały założenia teoretyczne metody AHP (procesu analitycznej hierarchizacji). Na początku przedstawiono zasady budowy struktury hierarchicznej systemu, a następnie procedury oceny elementów systemu. Zwrócono przy tym uwagę na sposób weryfikacji spójności ocen. Druga część artykułu koncentruje się na charakterystyce przypadku zastosowania metody w procesie projektowania systemu komunikacji zewnętrznej firmy. W artykule przyjęto założenie, że wszechstronna ocena wariantów projektowych umożliwia głębsze zrozumienie problemu projektowego oraz jest podstawą wyboru najlepszego rozwiązania.
