Opis:
The concern for the condition of the natural environment requires taking a new approach towards consumption and meeting consumer needs (Bocking 2009). Despite many initiatives related to the paradigm of sustainable development and the concept of sustainable consumption, the situation is still far from a general departure from mass consumption and consumerism. The article aims to try to synthetically organise the views of other authors on the challenges of greening consumption, both for enterprises and consumers in the context of social responsibility. Competences play an important role in this process. The greening of consumption has not yet been widely propagated in societies, including also Polish society. One of the crucial elements of greening consumption is the purchase of ecological/organic food products. To learn about the behaviour of Poles towards the issue discussed in this article, the authors conducted a study on a representative sample of Poles (N = 1,000) during Nov. 15–27, 2021, using the Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI) technique (which is an online surveying technique that fits into the quantitative methodology of market and opinion research) and online panels as part of the omnibus study. The survey shows that only 7.1% of the respondents have never purchased ecological/organic food products. Among buyers, 21.8% do it rarely/sporadically, 40.1% occasionally/sometimes, 20.2% often/try to choose ecological products when shopping and 10.8% do it very often or always. Among the respondents, 55.3% declared that ecological/organic products are expensive but still worth the price due to the health benefits they bring. Noticing the advantages of these products, 63.7% of respondents would like to buy more of them. In view of the results obtained, it can be said that it is necessary to disseminate the main greening consumption ideas that are apparent from this study, and this can be done through education, building consumer competences or visualising the effects of the continuation of current consumption habits. The problem of protecting the natural environment, discussed in numerous documents issued by governments and international organisations and in scientific publications, cannot remain unnoticed. Greening consumption is a challenge for companies whose production should be rational in using non-renewable natural resources, reducing or eliminating toxic waste, using recyclable packaging and introducing 'clean production' principles aimed at obtaining consumer products using more cost-effective and healthier methods. It is also a challenge for consumers, who should replace perishable goods with products with a longer life cycle, consume goods and services more sparingly and cease to accept planned obsolescence of products or unethical behaviour of enterprises towards their employees.

Space is a new destination for tourism. Today tourists can travel the world using many different modes of transportation, including road, maritime, and air. People always want to discover new destinations. Human beings strive to break borders and go beyond - even to the stars. There are new technical and commercial challenges and innovations in reaching outer space. The new transportation business of today has already experienced many ups and downs, but definitely big projects, such as traveling to the Moon or Mars remain the purview of the perennial space powers. The Author considers what kind of challenges space tourism brings (in the commercialization era) and what kind of space governance and policy is needed to make this tourism efficient. Some comparisons referring to airspace and outer space aspects, such as managerial, organizational, and legal have been made. The basic analysis made in this article indicates that the commercial space industry seeks to be new space operators, provided that they operate in a safe and secure manner according to international rules and policies. Good strategic planning and management of space is the key.

Opis:
This paper explores the various challenges of HRM and its practice in a global business environment. The roles and responsibilities of HR departments are transforming as the modern business faces pressures of globalization, hyper-competition in the markets, declining margins and changing consumer demands, workforce diversity, technological advances and changes in the political and legal environment. Today, global HR management has become a front-and-center issue for a wide variety of firms. Many larger corporations, and even smaller ones doing business in key international markets, now have full-time HR managers devoted solely to assisting with the globalization process. For the HR managers to thrive and be relevant in the global context, new roles and agenda for the profession should not focus on traditional HR activities such as recruitment and selection, training and development, and compensation, but on its outcomes. There is presently an increasing interaction of national economic systems all over the world through the growth in international trade, investment, and capital flows. This interaction is a worldwide drive toward globalization and a globalized economic system. Globalization, an inevitable and irreversible force is a new reality in which HR practitioners, enterprises and government are always on the lookout for new processes and innovations. This globalization process, therefore, necessitates an investigation into human resource management. The paper utilizes the methods of descriptive analysis and synthesis of the scientific literature and empirical investigation. The paper sums up with requisite conclusion and recommendations that will help HR professionals contribute positively to employees’ well-being and meeting organizational targets in a global business environment

Opis:
Goal – this article’s main goal is to showing that the truly important economic processes happen at the microeconomic level, they happen in enterprises. This is where the surplus value is produced. Producing this value is not easy, however, and is associated with a number of challenges. Research methodology – the author focuses on the descriptive method, which shows, on the one hand, the importance of activity at the microeconomic level, and on the other hand, indicating selected challenges faced by modern enterprises. Score/results – the article allowed to indicate the specificity of conditions in which modern enterprises operate. Large number of them are able to maintain their position in the industry for a very long time. It is able, but it is not so sure. In the conditions of global competition, nothing is certain in the long run, including the position of enterprises. They can work better or worse, they can be very small or larger, they can grow or curl, unfortunately they also fall. Originality/value – the article is a standard description of economic reality. It has no novelty or innovative aspects, it only organizes the described reality.
