Opis:
The paper presents the method and results of numerical simulations of the mutual dynamic interactions between vehicles and the bridge structure, which has defect in the form of excessive permanent deformations. The parametric analyses were carried out taking into account the following parameters: permanent deflections of spans, with a maximum value ranging from 0 to 150 mm, vehicle speed from 10 m/s (36 km/h) to 30 m/s (108 km/h), and two types of heavy vehicle suspension systems, each with very different properties. The presented analyses are based on the characteristics of real motorway bridge structure with permanent deflections of the multi-span main girders, constructed of steel beams and reinforced concrete slab. The proposed procedure of dynamic numerical analysis can also be useful in the assessment of the influence of permanent deflections on the interactions between vehicles and other types of bridge structures.

Opis:
The problem of vehicle-bridge interaction can be followed in the literature from the year 1849. It was induced by the collapse of the Chester Rail Bridge in England in the year 1847. At the early stage the analytical methods were applied. The development of computers brings the change in the approach to the used methods of solution. The Finite Element Methods and the Component Element Methods represent the revolution and qualitative jump in the development. The dynamic deflections and the values of dynamic coefficients are remarkable from the point of bridge designers. The analysis of dynamic coefficients on the frequency ratio of natural frequency of vehicle and natural frequency of a bridge and dependence of dynamic coefficients on the speed of vehicle motion are presented in this contribution.

Opis:
The paper presents the results of the numerical analysis of a simple vehicle passing over a simply supported bridge span. The bridge is modelled by an Euler-Bernoulli beam. The vehicle is modelled as a linear, visco-elastic oscillator, moving at a constant speed. The system is described by a set of differential equations of motion and solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta algorithm. The results are compared with the solution obtained in commercial FEM software using the Newmark-β method. The parameters of the system are taken from the existing bridge span and from the existing railway vehicle. Simulations are also performed with a concentrated force model of the vehicle.
