The paper is an attempt to show some of the difficulties associated with both knowing values and applying them in social life. It also acknowledges their extraordinary role both in the context of development of an individual, and in the context of the search for a good (i.e. well-functioning) society.

Materiały ceramiczne jak większość materiałów ulega procesowi utleniania się. Zjawisko to może być niezwykle niekorzystne z punktu widzenia wytrzymałości mechanicznej. Problem z utlenianiem szczególnie uciążliwy jest w przypadku nakładania powłok metodami plazmowymi, podczas których temperatura procesu jest bardzo wysoka co w naturalny sposób sprzyja utlenianiu się. W ramach badań postanowiono sprawdzić jak metoda natryskiwania plazmowego wpływa na właściwości nakładanej warstwy. Przebadano kilka metod natryskiwania, kontrolując utlenianie powłoki. W kolejnym kroku poszczególne powłoki poddawano badaniom diagnostycznym. Został określany stopień utleniania powłoki za pomocą rentgenowskiej analizy fazowej. Następnie przebadano właściwości mechaniczne otrzymanych powłok. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na metodę natryskiwanie pod ciśnieniem atmosferycznym, z pierścieniową strugą ochronną. W ramach badań dokonano ukształtowania pierścieniowej strugi ochronnej zabezpieczającej przed utlenianiem materiał proszkowy, tworzący powłokę.
Ceramic materials, like most materials, undergo the process of oxidation. This phenomenon can be extremely unfavorable from the point of view of mechanical strength. The problem with oxidation is particularly troublesome in the case of plasma coating, where the process temperature is very high, which naturally promotes oxidation. As part of the research, it was decided to check how the plasma spray method affects the properties of the applied layer. Several spraying methods have been tested to control the oxidation of the coating. In the next step, individual coatings were subjected to diagnostic tests. The degree of oxidation of the coating was determined by means of X-ray phase analysis. Then, the mechanical properties of the obtained coatings were tested. Particular attention was paid to the atmospheric pressure spraying method with an annular protective jet. In the research, an annular protective stream was shaped to protect the powder material forming the coating against oxidation.

W pracy przeprowadzono w jednej ze słowackich biogazowni analizę wydajności oraz składu biogazu przy określonych ilościach i składzie surowca w okresie jednego miesiąca eksploatacji. Z prezentowanych badań wynika, że ilość pozyskiwanego biogazu oraz jego skład w dużej mierze zależy od jakości zadawanego surowca oraz równomierności zadawania składników do fermentatora.
The study presents the analysis of efficiency and biogas composition at the determined quantities and material composition during one month of operation. The analysis was carried out in one of Slovakian biogas works. The results of the research prove that the amount of the obtained biogas and its composition depends considerably on the quality of the applied material and on uniformity of applying the material to a fermentation device.

This article demonstrates the inadequacy of legal deduction as a method that guarantees the certainty and predictability of law and its outcomes in concrete instances. Inter alia, the Author brings our attention to the far smaller role that the deductive pattern of inference plays in legal thought than one may suppose, since it is rather only a schematic illustration of the decisions that were previously made by recourse to the mental operations of a non-logical nature. In return, he proffers legal analogy as an alternative, by which he understands a mode of thinking which helps the reasoner to take into account a mass of different factors that are traditionally deemed to be relevant for legal thought and decision-making.

Rozwój techniki spowodował potrzebę stosowania materiałów o podwyższonych własnościach. Dotyczy to zarówno własności mechanicznych, własności związanych z odpornością na korozję i erozję, odpornością na ścieranie oraz jako bariery cieplne i elektryczne. Własności tych nie da się uzyskać stosując jednorodne materiały. Z pomocą przychodzą tu techniki łączenia jednych materiałów z drugimi. Jedną z takich metod jest nanoszenie powłok ceramicznych na materiały metaliczne. Artykuł skupia się na przeglądzie metod nanoszenia ceramiki na metale z opisem ich własności oraz wypunktowując wady oraz zalety.
The development of technology has resulted in the need to use materials with improved properties. This applies to both mechanical properties, properties related to corrosion and erosion resistance, abrasion resistance and as thermal and electrical barriers. These properties cannot be obtained by using homogeneous materials. The techniques of joining one material to another come in handy here. One such method is the application of ceramic coatings to metallic materials. The article focuses on a review of the methods of applying ceramics to metals with a description of their properties and highlighting the advantages and disadvantages.

The Convention on Human Rights was ratified in 1993. A very strict approach to the possibility of involving international agreements in the process of applying law was changing. At first this resulted in a prudent attitude towards the Convention as a possible normative basis of a decision. The situation considerably changed in 1997 when the Polish Constitution came into force. According to the Constitution the Convention is applied directly. Share of the Convention in the process of applying law has been increasing since 1997. The Supreme Court, the Constitutional Tribunal and the Head Administrative Court give priority to the Convention and don't apply rules, which are incompatible with it. The significance of the Convention can be easily noticed in the consecutive stages of process of applying law. The practice shows that it becomes a normative basis as a result of conflicting or non-conflicting way of establishing a normative basis.

The increasing sizes of ships determine the interest in modifying the already existing solutions. Simulation models allow us to analyse the possible modernisation options. The article presents analysis results for the width of the fairway to Ystad, marked with buoys with respect to navigation safety. After a thorough analysis, taking into account the safety of navigation, further possibilities of development have been determined. Study results are aimed at designing new solutions in case of modernization of the approach channel to Ystad.

Zastosowanie sieci neuronowej umożliwi, na podstawie łatwiej dostępnych danych pomiarowych jak predkość lotu oraz wychylenia sterownic, określanie wartości parametrów trudniejszych do pomiaru, które w czasie normalnej eksploatacji śmigłowca nie są rejestrowane. Zadanie bieżącej kontroli obciążeń wirnika oraz oceny poziomu zapasu do osiągnięcia ograniczeń eksploatacyjnych może przejąć sieć neuronowa. Wyniki działania wytrenowanych sieci neuronowych wyznaczających amplitudy i wartości średnie momentu sterowania łopatą i momentu gnącego korpus piasty przedstawiono w formie wykresów rozrzutu wartości obliczeniowych w zestawieniu z wartościami oszacowania danego parametru dokonanego przez sieci.
The application of a neural network will enable, through more accessible measurable data such as flight velocity and deflection of the flight controls, the evaluation of parameter values more difficult to measure, which are not registered during standard operation of the helicopter. The task of continuous estimation of loads and reserves to obtain maximum operating conditions, can be performed by a neural network. The results of neural networks signifying amplitudes and average values of the blade pitch control moment and rotor hub bending moment are presented in the form of charts of the distribution of simulated data in comparison witch values from the estimate of a given parameter performed by the network.

Opis:
In the paper, the results of tests of flux application for aluminum brazing processes using the low-presure cold gas spraying method, are presented. It was pointed out that this method could be used as an alternative to current methods of flux application, among others in the production of aluminum heat exchangers. The results of wettability tests made with braze spreading method on fluxed substrates and metallographic investigations of brazed joints are presented. Good quality of brazed joints without incompatibilities and good mechanical properties have been demonstrated.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań nanoszenia topnika do procesów lutowania aluminium metodą niskociśnieniowego natryskiwania zimnym gazem. Wskazano na możliwość zastosowania niniejszej metody, jako alternatywnej dla obecnie stosowanych metod aplikacji topników m.in. w produkcji aluminiowych wymienników ciepła. Przedstawiono wyniki badań zwilżalności wykonane metodą rozpływności lutów na topnikowanych podłożach oraz badania metalograficzne złączy lutowanych. Wykazano dobrą jakość połączeń lutowanych, bez niezgodności lutowniczych oraz dobre właściwości mechaniczne.

Opis:
A smart solution for assessing the consequences of pollution on the coast, on flora and fauna but also by accounting for the total costs of the equipment used in the response to pollution is a system for assessing, coordinating and simulating the risk situation with the help of a mathematical model implemented on a simulator. The mathematical model for the simulation of the event of pollution is the latest generation and take into account all the meteorological factors of the sea and air, as well as all the physico-chemical parameters of the substances involved (dispersion, surface tension). The simulator is used for the realistic modeling of a crisis situation and it is useful for both marine officers and emergency situation officials. The simulator will be used as an educational instrument enabling the interactive study of the different emergency situations. In this paper we present the simulation of incident and the creation of response resources. The scenario incident is for KAPTAN M cruise ship that left the tourist port of TOMIS Constanta, Romania, having on board 20 passengers and a number of 15 crew members, and which collided with the oil ship EVIA Oil FIVE, having on board the quantity of 4200 MT crude oil. As a result of the collision, the passenger ship suffered a breach (water hole), on the starboard board, breach by which the ship began to ambarce sea water and in the car compartment a fire was produced. Containment and recovery of an oil spill during the exercise will be simulated through activation and control of response resources. The resources involved in the operations are divided into: platforms, equipment and personnel. The results of simulation is the list of response resources specified in the scenario together with their parameters, which can be exported into a text file. With this simulation tools you can efficiently appreciate the cost of resources in due time, avoiding material and human damage.

The aim of the article is application of Six Sigma method in glue applying process during assembling of IGBT modules of products family SEMiX3 performed in manufacture of SEMIKRON company. There are also used other tools and methods as Pareto diagram, Ishikawa diagram, hypothesis testing, Voice of the customer, involved in DMAIC cycle. There was found, that the most important impact of the glue applying process is the amount of glue. This is related to time savings and also Money savings as well as reduce the number of repairs.

Manganese is an effective element used for the modification of needle intermetallic phases in Al-Si alloy. These particles seriously degrade mechanical characteristics of the alloy and promote the formation of porosity. By adding manganese the particles are being excluded in more compact shape of “Chinese script” or skeletal form, which are less initiative to cracks as Al5FeSi phase. In the present article, AlSi7Mg0.3 aluminium foundry alloy with several manganese content were studied. The alloy was controlled pollution for achieve higher iron content (about 0.7 wt. % Fe). The manganese were added in amount of 0.2 wt. %, 0.6 wt. %, 1.0 wt. % and 1.4 wt. %. The influence of the alloying element on the process of crystallization of intermetallic phases were compared to microstructural observations. The results indicate that increasing manganese content (> 0.2 wt. % Mn) lead to increase the temperature of solidification iron rich phase (TAl5FeSi) and reduction this particles. The temperature of nucleation Al-Si eutectic increase with higher manganese content also. At adding 1.4 wt. % Mn grain refinement and skeleton particles were observed.

The increasing sizes of ships and lack of functionality of the existing solutions determine the interest in rebuilding the already existing solutions. Simulation models allow to analyse the possible modernisation variants taking into account the variability of elementary parameters. The article presents analysis results for the Przemyslowy Canal in Szczecin with respect to navigation safety and regulating traffic regulations in the Przemyslowy Canal taking into consideration the interests of all subjects involved. The paper applies real-time simulation methods based on manoeuvring simulators. After a thorough analysis that took into account the safety of navigation, further possibilities of development have been determined. Study results are aimed at designing new solutions in case of modernization of the Przemyslowy Canal in Szczecin.

Opis:
Legal reasoning is an important element of drafting and applying law. It is done at several stages: 1) a debate during the legislative process; 2) reasoning of the entity applying the law; 3) a judicial discourse and 4) an academic assessment of judicial decisions. In drafting and applying law, the legislators, law users, judges and glossators touch upon a certain norm-creating concept. Following the Platonian concept, we can conclude that the concept is a certain idea which may be interpreted in several stages. With the example of a selected provision from the Act on the Relationship between the State and the Catholic Church in the Republic of Poland, the author of the paper indicates the role of legal reasoning in drafting and applying law at every stage. The most important thing is to interpret the ideal norm in a correct way and clearly draft it as a legal act. Correct performance of this procedure will facilitate further stages of applying the law.
Rozumowanie prawnicze stanowi istotny element tworzenia i stosowania prawa. Dokonywane jest ono na kilku etapach: 1) debata towarzysząca tworzeniu prawa, 2) rozumowanie podmiotu stosującego prawo, 3) dyskurs sądowy i wreszcie 4) doktrynalna ocena rozstrzygnięć judykatury. Na przykładzie wybranego przepisu z ustawy o stosunku Państwa do Kościoła katolickiego w RP autor artykułu wskazuje na rolę rozumowań prawniczych w tworzeniu i stosowaniu prawa na wszystkich etapach. Najistotniejsze jest właściwe odczytanie idealnego bytu prawnego oraz klarowne zapisanie go w treści aktów prawnych. Poprawne wykonanie tego zabiegu ułatwi dalsze etapy stosowania prawa.
