- The paper presents a pilot active membrane contactor system (AMCS) description and experimental results for air dehumidification. Triethyleneglycol was used as a hygroscopic liquid carrier. Polydimethylsiloxane based membranes (Lestosil) were used in a spiral wound membrane contactor. The experiments with AMCS demonstrated effective air-drying under a high ratio-feed gas flux/liquid carrier flux (10²-10³). The developed contactor system allows to achieve air dehumidification up to Tdew point= –20 °C.
