The article indicates an important area of human security relating to cyberspace. Cyberspace is a domain where information is exchanged via computer networks and systems. This area is exposed to a variety of threats, such as cyber crises and cyber conflicts, cyber violence, cyber protests and cyber demonstrations, including the threat of cyber warfare. Therefore, political and legal strategies and directives, both EU and Polish, are a form of countering cyber threats. The article is composed of four sections: an introductory section, characteristics of the most important threats in cyberspace, EU and national legal options for countering the threats, and a concluding section.

W pierwszej autor przedstawił najważniejsze zagrożenia dotyczące bezpieczeństwa personalnego człowieka. Następnie zdefiniował najważniejsze obszary dotyczące kultury wolności i przyzwolenia. Ostatnia część publikacji zawiera najważniejsze tezy dotyczące edukacji człowieka jako sposobu promowania jego niezależności.
The subject matter of the article directly fits into the process of broadly defined security and education. The author indicates the opportunities and threats in the area of human func-tioning. The aim of the article is to analyze basic threats to people when freedom and trust are mutually experienced. It should be emphasized that it is a recurring issue, seen from many perspectives and concurrent with different processes and social relations. The article consists of three parts. In the first one, the author presented the most important threats re-lated to personal safety. Then, he defined crucial areas concerning the culture of freedom and consent. The last part of the publication contains basic principles of human education as a way to promote human independence.

Present times are filled with a great number of incidents of a different nature because the 21st century is a time of significant transformation and progress in various areas of human life. In connection with the growing number of social and public threats, the importance of education for security is increasing, which is of particular significance when developing proper attitudes and values and for gaining knowledge and skills in the field of counteracting different threats. It is one of the fundamental methods of providing security and managing difficult or conflict situations. Education in security is of special importance in the work of law enforcement officers. Its content may considerably help when counteracting threats, and on the other hand, it may make law enforcers realise their potential as well as features of their personality. This education does not only mean transferring knowledge or developing skills, but also stimulating creativity in the work of law enforcers who are responsible for public safety. In the author’s opinion, thanks to education in security it is possible to create numerous personality attributes for officers, especially those of the human psyche (thinking) and mind (the state of self-consciousness, rationalism, empiricism, values, norms, moral and ethical problems). The author thinks that all the education and upbringing processes are possible when predispositions develop, which in turn are originally of an inborn and genetic structures status. A personality model of a law enforcer derived from the bicultural theory of a human being ought to be the basis of education for security which calls for an original paradigm for educating and upbringing. In the new paradigm, the role of public safety officers increases significantly because of high intellectual, moral and ethical expectations.

Efektywność wszelkich badań naukowych uwarunkowana jest prawidłowym przygotowaniem projektu badawczego. Nie da się tego zrobić bez praktycznych umiejętności stosowania naukowej metodologii. W procesie badawczym duże znaczenie ma sposób definiowania określonych faktów czy też operacjonalizacja pojęć. Istotną sprawą jest kwestia trafności i rzetelności badań, jak również budowy teorii opartej na aksjomatycznie ustrukturowanym układzie twierdzeń weryfikowanych empirycznie. Artykuł jest ważnym głosem w szerszej dyskusji dotyczącej budowania tożsamości nauk o bezpieczeństwie. Autor jest przekonany, że empiryczny wymiar tożsamości nauk o bezpieczeństwie znajdzie swe zastosowanie w procedurze prowadzonych badań, a także w realizacji prac kwalifikacyjnych z tego obszaru.
The effectiveness of any scientific research depends on the correct preparation of the research project. This cannot be done without the practical capability of applying scientific methodology. In the research process, the way of defining certain facts or the operationalization of concepts is of great importance. A key issue is the accuracy and reliability of research, as well as the construction of a theory based on an axiomatically structured layout of empirically verified theorems. The article is an important voice in a broader discussion of identity building in security science. The author is convinced that the empirical dimension of the identity of security sciences will find its application in the research procedure, as well as in the implementation of qualification work in this area.

The article focuses on selected areas relating to man’s safety in the psychological and pedagogical educational concepts. The psychological and pedagogical concepts outlined in the article are complementary and by stimulating one another they open paths for further research. Each of them refers to many aspects and educational situations. Each of them contains the most important issues connected with the shaping of the individual feeling of safety as well as the shaping of personality. These concepts present many factors which threaten man’s feeling of safety. These are, for example: lack of stability, impossibility to predict situations, non-standard or abnormal life situation (in the educational sense), lack of appreciation, respect and kindness from others; lack of help, support and solidarity; lack of friendships, colleagues and affiliations with respected groups; awareness of one’s own limitations in relation to safeguarding one’s own welfare (goods and values); a sense of threats and unfavourable prospects; lack of success in life and of one’s own initiatives and activities etc.

This paper focuses on an important element of human safety, as it describes cyberspace as an environment in which information is exchanged via the web and computer systems. This paper shows the importance of broadly defined health security, illness prevention, and health education, in all possible stages of human life. The paper contains a description of the basic threats to human health security emanating from the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, the author deals extensively with the preventive qualities of educational activities in the development of a sense of human health security. The main idea of the paper demonstrates that health security during the coronavirus pandemic, together with a sense of calm and stagnation, have a fundamental impact on human well-being. All this is combined with the adoption of the appropriate attitudes, while at the same time determining the focus of the concentration of human activity, and therefore of human education, in the times of threats to health.

This paper demonstrates personal safety as a vital element in a human being’s life, as the number and types of threats are growing. People quite often experience enslavement in various aspects of their functioning. It is not always the result of external threats, but also of individual No.s. A human being has many options, and a multitude of possibilities and opportunities, while these in turn can create chaos. Contemporary enslavement is growing increasingly rapidly on the global scale, having spread across nearly all spheres of life. Enslavement has also become multidimensional, similarly to freedom. This paper encompasses the characteristics of an enslaved person, and the sense of personal freedom. The central concept of this paper shows that personal (individual, human) safety, together with the sense of peace, stability, and own development, are the most important values in the life of every human being.
