Theoretical background: The use of robots/AI in the workplace has grown rapidly in the last years. There is observed enlargement not only of the numbers of robots but also the quality of their functions and applications. Therefore, many questions of practical, scientific and moral nature have arisen. The flowering use of robots has drawn scientists’ attention to interactions between humans and robots. As a result, a new multidisciplinary research area – Human-Robot Interactions (HRI) – is growing. Representatives of HRI try to answer the questions like: How anthropomorphic features of robots may affect interactions between robots and employees? How are robots supposed to look and behave to make interactions more pleasant for employees? Can human cooperation with humanoid robots lead to the formation of socio-mechanical bonds?Purpose of the article: The paper aims to identify determinants of human-robot interactions in the workplace and identify key research problems in this area.Research methods: The method of a systematic review of the literature fulfiled the above-mentioned purpose. The Web of Science was chosen as the basic database. The list of publications from the Web of Science was supplemented with some other publications which were related to the topic.Main findings: There are several factors that determine the perception and quality of HRI in the workplace. Especially trust, anthropomorphic features of the robot, and organizational assignment may decide about the human acceptance of the use of a non-human agent and HRI. The concept of social interaction with robots is at an initial stage yet. An adopted research paradigm also plays an important role. It seems that the classical assumptions of organizational sociology will not stand the test of time. Researchers and practitioners are facing new challenges. Especially there are some ontological questions that are not easy to be answered unanimously. Can we treat a robot as a mechanical device or rather as a member of a newly created community?

This paper presents procedure methodology allowing to evaluate the impact of vertical acceleration (mine detonation under the vehicle) for damages of backbone of the crew member This problem is presented globally with stress on model being the estimator of the backbone damages. Then this study includes standard requirements in this field and discusses the necessary instrumentation and then method for development of model input data is indicated. the vertical impact model is presented on example. The mechanisms allowing to evaluate the level of potential injuries are presented in the final part in this paper. The range of problems concerning metrology of physical values associating explosion and evaluation of its impact on the human body is very wide. Problems discussed in this paper do not exhaust this field. The research are under way on several topics for their more full recognition. Development of this field will be correctly used, having in mind the aspect and usefulness of such research. The main criterion for evaluation of explosion impact on people protected by armour of the vehicle is the measurement of physical and mechanical values occurring during explosion. The high accelerations and pressures constitute serious danger for health and life of people. Tests are necessary to determine effectiveness of the crew's protection both in vehicles and in other objects.

Opis:
The paper focuses on control of a new anthropomorphic robot arm enabling the torque measurement in each joint to ensure safety while performing tasks of physical interaction with human and environment. A novel variable control strategy was elaborated to increase the robot functionality and to achieve human-like dynamics of interaction. The algorithm of impact control imparting reflex action ability to the robot arm was proposed. The experimental results showed successful recognition and realization of three different types of interaction: service task, co-operative task, and impact state.

The paper deals with measurement of the mechanical parameters describing fall arrest by personal protective equipment in situations where the user collides with a vertical structure as a result of a swing movement. The process of swing fall arrest is characterized and the scope of tests needed to obtain a description of such events from the point of view of user safety is delineated. The paper also presents the developed test method and experimental stand incorporating a Hybrid III 50th Pedestrian ATD anthropomorphic dummy. Preliminary test results concerning acceleration, force, moment of force, and dummy deformation are discussed. The results indicate that the designed method and experimental stand are well suited for the purpose. It has also been found that swing falls pose a serious hazard to PPE users.

The article discusses the very concept of the geography of science, which is strongly connected with the spatial turn in humanities. Tematem artykułu jest ornamentacja na statuetkach antropomorficznych z górnego paleolitu. Najbardziej rozpowszechnione w literaturze górnopaleolityczne wizerunki ludzkie pochodzą ze środkowej fazy tego okresu (30-20 tys. lat p.n.e. i łączą się z upowszechnieniem kompleksu graweckiego na obszarach Europy Zachodniej, Środkowej i Wschodniej, a następnie epigraweckiego w Europie Wschodniej. Do wykonania ornamentów na figurkach używano takich samych narzędzi jak do zdobienia innych przedmiotów (rytych płytek i kości). Za pomocą narzędzi krzemiennych tworzono proste linie lub bardziej skomplikowane kompozycje geometryczne (kratki, trójkąty, zagłębienia). Ornamenty miały odpowiadać noszonym przez kobiety fryzurom, ozdobom i ubraniom (bransolety, przepaski, pasy, czapki). Zdobienia mogły mieć również symboliczny (lunarny) charakter. Należy jednak pamiętać, że tylko nieliczne statuetki były w przeszłości ornamentowane, a ich stopień realizmu nie miał znaczenia (zarówno realistyczne, jak i schematyczne wyobrażenia poddawane były ornamentacji). Większość przedstawień graweckich w Europie Środkowej i Wschodniej pozbawiona jest zdobień, dlatego słuszna wydaje się teza o symboliczno-społecznym ich wymiarze.
The statuettes with ornamentation mentioned in the article are from the upper Paleolithic epoch. The most famous ones come from the middle phase of this period (30-20 thousand years before present) and they belong to the gravettian complex of Western, Central and Eastern Europe, and the epigravettian complex in Eastern Europe. It includes several cultural unites: the pavlovian in Moravia and Lower Austria, the Willendorf culture in Austria, Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia, the Kostenki culture in the Russian Plain and epigravettian in the valley of the middle Dniester, Dnieper and Don. The most famous paleolithic "Venus", comes from Willendorf. It refers to the ancient sculptures of women, although abundant shapes and nudity of the paleolithic statuettes contrast with the classic representations of ideal proportions. Most of the human images from this period was not decorated, but some of them are characterized by rich ornamentation on their heads, chest, back, elbows and wrists. Probably these are the hairstyles, hats, aprons and bracelets. There are also geometric ornaments, which perhaps could be tattoos. In the article there are analyzed techniques and the importance of the ornamentation of anthropomorphic statuettes from gravettian cultures of Central and Eastern Europe. During the research the microscopic method was used (a microscope Delta Optical SZ- 630T). The project was funded by the National Science Center and thanks to the MZM in Brno and OA Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

Opis:
Development of assistive robots for helping the disabled is a field of research that has gathered attention recently. According to surveys, about one billion people in the world population have some kind of disability. Dual arm robots are a suitable solution for helping people with mobility impairments. The current development in the field of dual-arm robots is focused mainly in the industrial field to carry out cyclic tasks. This includes activities such as pick and place, assembling parts and doing other industrial operations. Unlike human arms, these dual arm robots lack versatility in doing a wide variety of tasks with adequate coordination between the arms. Due to these constraints, industrial dual arm robots cannot be directly implemented for assisting the disabled. This paper focuses on designing a compact dual arm robot which closely mimics human arms to do coordinated tasks with lesser Degrees of Freedom (DoF). Therefore, the developed robot extends its capabilities from industrial applications to daily life activities. Closed loop control is used in actuating the proposed 9 DoF dual arm robot with distinct DoF. Target position is acquired using image processing. Hand to hand coordination in various operations such as pick and place, transferring objects, serving food, etc. has successfully experimented.

This article concerns anthropomorphic stone sculptures (so-called Old Prussian “baba” stones) of the two tribal territories of Pre-Teutonic Prussia – Pomesania and Sasinia. Only in the nineteenth century scholars became interested in this phenomenon, although the first information on the functioning and location of “baba” stones may already be found in medieval and early-modern sources. In this paper an attempt is made to examine the role which the stone sculptures may have played among the pagan population of Prussia in the period of Christianization, as well as how they were adapted in the modern folk culture and what interpretations around them appeared in scientific circles. Also in today’s postmodern times the interest in Prussian “babas” is unabated and the sculptures often become an inspiration for artists and a subject of many interpretations.

A  sword with bronze pseudo-anthropomorphic hilt elements typical of the Middle La Tène was found in the Vistula River not far from the village of Siarzewo, Nieszawa commune, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. The scabbard was discarded and lost, but the sword is now in the Kujawy and Dobrzyń Land Museum in Włocławek. The hilt consists of three solid bronze elements: the guard, the tang ring, and the pommel. At present, these elements are separated by empty spaces which were previously covered with elements made from organic materials. The pommel and guard are decorated on the surface with three small circles with a point inside. The blade of the sword is also very interesting. The surface of the sword is covered with a chagrinage decoration. In the middle part of the blade, below the top part of the hilt end, a crescent-shaped, star-like stamp (punchmark) is located. Similar bronze hilts and hilt elements are more typical of Celtic daggers and short swords, hence a sword with these elements appearing a long way north of the main Celtic area is a major surprise and mystery.

The main purpose of this article is to demonstrate the possible continuity between early Palestinian cults reconstructed from anthropomorphic figurines and later beliefs. Figurines from the major archeological cultures including: Kebarian, Natufian or Yarmukian indicate a common ceremony of religious character, possibly connected with the cult of fertility. In this contexts particularly noteworthy is so-called „Ain Sakhiri Lovers” figurine which is unique and interpreted as showing a sexual intercourse. By presenting some of the types of early Palestinian anthropomorphic figurines, the author would like to discuss possible connections between earliest artifacts of probable religious meaning with documented religious systems.

This paper presents the analysis of Russian animalistic phraseological units included in the Russian-Croatian Phraseological Dictionary (2019). In our research we focused on etalons that have the simile structure. Anthropomorphism and zoomorphism are two antipodes of the same reality within the language picture of the world – in our case it is the Russian language picture of the world. We believed that the anthropocentric perspective of the animal world was stronger than the ecocentric perspective, and that it has influenced the Russian language correspondingly, which has led us to the conclusion that there must be more Russian anthropomorphic similes than zoomomorphic similes. But the analysis that we have performed within the frames of the Russian-Croatian Phraseological Dictionary has not proven our hypothesis. The findings of this study suggest that there is an equal number of anthropomorphic and zoomorphic similes within the analyzed phraseological material.

W artykule przedstawiono problematykę pomiarów wielkości fizycznych towarzyszących eksplozji. Wprowadzeniem do artykułu jest opis aktualnie obowiązujących regulacji w tym zakresie. Wyszczególniono urządzenia i systemy niezbędne do prowadzenia badań oraz wskazano kryteria oceny. W dalszej części przedstawiono zagadnienia dotyczące praktyki metrologicznej. Opisano metody synchronizacji startu akwizycji i eksplozji, kryteria doboru i metody montażu przetworników pomiarowych, problematykę przesyłania sygnałów na bezpieczne odległości oraz zagadnienia dotyczące analizy otrzymanych wyników. Przedstawiono praktyczne rozwiązania tych problemów w oparciu o badania prowadzone w Zakładzie Ekspertyz Materiałowych Uzbrojenia i Sprzętu WITPiS. Bazując na doświadczeniu zdobytym w trakcie badań z wykorzystaniem antropomorficznego urządzenia pomiarowego Hybrid III, opisano najważniejsze zagadnienia eksploatacyjne. Wskazano te obszary, które w warunkach niestacjonarnych są najbardziej problematyczne oraz rozwiązania praktyczne tych problemów.
In the article are presented problems of measurements of physical parameters during vehicles blast tests. Introduction of the article describes standards in this area. There are described test devices and measurement systems and evaluation criteria are indicated. The next part of article describes methods of synchronizations of acquisition system and blast initiation, methods of fixing transducers, problems with safe distance signals transmission and analysis of received results. The practical solutions of these problems based on tests conducted by Department of Expert’s Opinions on Materials for Weapons and Equipment of Military Institute of Armoured and Automotive Technology. Basing on experience gained during tests with dummy (Anthropomorphic Measurement Device – Hybrid III) the most important practical remarks are described. The article indicates the areas which are the most problematic according to nonstationary conditions of test and indicates practical solutions of these problems.

The paper presents the problem of forward kinematics of an anthropomorphic manipulators. The proposed forward kinematics algorithm based on equations of classical mechanics. The sample simulations have been done for four degrees of freedom manipulator mounted on the Martian rover. The correctness of the proposed algorithm has been verified with the help of results obtained using Denavit-Hartenberg notation. The shown derivations are basis to consider of dynamics problem. The presented algorithm can be also used for other devices having only rotational joints.
W pracy przedstawiono zagadnienie kinematyki prostej manipulatorów antropomorficznych. Zaproponowany algorytm rozwiązywania kinematyki prostej sformułowano, bazując na metodzie wykorzystującej równania mechaniki klasycznej. Przedstawiono przykładowe wyniki symulacyjne dla manipulatora o czterech stopniach swobody zamontowanego na łaziku marsjańskim. Działanie zaproponowanego algorytmu sprawdzono, porównując uzyskane wyniki z rezultatami otrzymanymi z wykorzystaniem notacji Denavita-Hartenberga. Otrzymane parametry ruchu manipulatora stanowią podstawę do rozważań zagadnień dynamicznych. Zaprezentowany algorytm może być wykorzystywany także do innych urządzeń posiadających tylko przeguby obrotowe.

Opis:
The article presents a study on the influence of shock wave on a Hybrid III anthropomorphic test device (ATD HIII) equipped with an explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) suit. The shock wave was generated by the detonation of SEMTEX 1A plastic explosive, formed in the shape of a 250 g, 500 g, and 840 g sphere, at a distance of 0.5 m, 1 m, and 2 m. The use of ATD allowed for determining parameters of damage to the human body as a result of the impact of overpressure wave. The experiments also included a measurement of such parameters as forces and moments on lower extremi-ties, acceleration of head and pelvis, and forces and moments on a neck simulator. Chest Wall Velocity Predictor (CWVP), calculated from the pressure measured on ADT’s chest, was adopted as the most critical parameter. It was revealed that the allowed distance of explosion of a 500 g pure explosive, which does not cause exceeding the allowed parameters, is 1 m.
W artykule przedstawiono badania wpływu oddziaływania fali uderzeniowej na Antropomorficzne Urządzenie Testowe Hybrid III (ATD, HIII) wyposażone w kombinezon saperski EOD. Falę uderzeniową generowano poprzez detonację z odległości 0,5 m, 1 m, 1,5 m i 2 m plastycznego materiału wybuchowego SEMTEX 1A uformowanego w kule o masie 250 g, 500 g i 840 g. Zastosowanie ATD umożliwiło określenie parametrów uszkodzenia ludzkiego ciała w wyniku oddziaływania fali nadciśnienia. W trakcie eksperymentów mierzono takie parametry, jak siły i momenty na kończynach dolnych, przyspieszenia głowy, miednicy oraz siły, i momenty na symulatorze szyi. Za najbardziej krytyczny parametr przyjęto CWVP (Chest Wall Velocity Predictor – wskaźnik prędkości ugięcia ściany klatki piersiowej) wyliczany z ciśnienia zmierzonego na klatce piersiowej ATD. Wykazano, że dopuszczalna odległość eksplozji czystego ładunku wybuchowego o masie 500 g, który nie powoduje przekroczenia dopuszczalnych parametrów, to 1 m.
