An experiment is described consisting in recording of vibration signals on the body of a HATZ 1B40 single-cylinder compression-ignition engine, applied among other things as a driving source for FOGO power generators. Characteristic time courses fragments of the recorded vibration signals were linked to occurrence of specific phenomena in the working engine and with operation of specific engine mechanisms generating these signals. Potential was found for utilization of the vibration signal recorded on the body of a HATZ 1B40 compression-ignition engine for optimization of simultaneous feeding of the engine with diesel oil and natural gas. There are potential possibility of application of a simple knock sensor from a spark-ignition engine as a component of a feeding control system of a compression-ignition engine with diesel oil and natural gas. Theoretical time course of vibration signal of the HATZ 1B40 engine, example oscilloscope trace of time courses of signals reflecting, location of mounting of the vibration acceleration sensor on the engine, allocation of the theoretical and empirical time course of the vibration signal of the HATZ 1B40 engine, example vibration signal time courses recorded at the head of an engine fed with various mixtures of air and natural gas and diesel oil with oval-marked fragments corresponding to diesel oil injection are presented in the paper.

Human activity is main source of all environmental pollutions. Noise is common environmental issuesthat cannot be generated without geospatial location. It has great impact on mankind such as physical disturbance, physiological disturbance and affects human health. The aim of this research work is to identify the geospatial noise level and mapping noise vulnerability in some part of Ibadan North East Local Government Area. DSLM and GPS are used for survey method in which sixteen different location points were selected for noise vulnerability. The Mathematical Model is used to calculate Equivalent continuous sound level for morning, afternoon and evening (Lm_a_e), mean noise level for the morning, afternoon, evening and Daily Average of Noise values were generated. World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation standard was used as a standard in this research because Nigeria Noise pollution bill is still under consideration in the National Assembly. ArcGIS software was used for analysis and noise zones were carved out based on WHO yardsticks. Noise vulnerability mapping generated shown that land uses within the study area were experiencing very higher noise levels which are risky to the environment and society. Environmental agency and Government should set standard values for the noise barriers by passing the noise bill in the National Assembly assiduously and soonest.

Artykuł prezentuje przepisy definiujące warunki prowadzenia monitoringu obrazu i/lub dźwięku w podmiotach leczniczych oraz związane z nimi orzecznictwo. Odwołuje się też do praktyki oraz obserwacji autora, wynikających z jego pracy naukowej i doświadczeń zawodowych. Na tej podstawie podjęto próbę sformułowania implikacji prawnych i praktycznych zagadnienia legalnego stosowania monitoringu podczas udzielania świadczeń zdrowotnych. Problematyka jest omawiana z punktu widzenia poszanowania prywatności i godności pacjenta, z uwzględnieniem granic kontroli tego procesu, której może służyć rejestracja obrazu i dźwięku.
Granting medical services in medical entities can be regarded as a complex and multidimensional process, in which a patient and a person providing medical services participate. An analysis of the actual legal aspects of the relation between the parties in the process may lead to developing an appropriate standard for using legal regulations. In doubtful situations, from the perspective of both parties, the key issue is to set the actual course of medical services provision process. It is necessary to depict this actual state in order to work out objective conditions for the consequent assessment of the behaviour of both patients and persons providing medical services. Therefore, a key question arises about the limits on controlling medical services provision that can be introduced to the interest of patients – regarding their right to privacy that is guaranteed by the law. This concerns, in the first place, information about patients, especially about the state of their health, which is obtained when medical services are provided, and which should be considered as especially sensitive information. It seems that using technical tools to record image and, in some cases, sound (so called monitoring) by medical entities can be a good method that guarantees optimal conditions to ensure legal safety of both patients and medical staff. However, it should be taken into account that, due to the specific nature of this relation, the application of the legal regulations that allow, in some situations, for registering image, or even sound, calls for consideration on the part of medical entities. The issues have been presented on the basis of the author’s own observations resulting from his scientific work and professional experience. The achievements of the doctrine and related judicature are very scarce. And so are available results of empirical research in the area.

The physical phenomena occurring in sound-absorbing and insulating enclosures are subject of the present paper. These phenomena are: absorption in air and by the sound-absorbing material covering the walls and the coincidence effect. The absorption in the air can be neglected in small size enclosures for low ultrasonic frequencies (20–30 kHz). The coincidence plays a role in decrease of the sound insulation, however the main role play the leaks. The boards made of ceramic fibers have been chosen as the optimal sound-absorbing material. They are dense and have deeply porous structures. The enclosure for insulation of 20-kHz noise produced by a welding machine has been designed and manufactured, and reductions of 25 dB of peak and Leq levels have been achieved.

The practise proves that creating city lighting master plans in Western Europe implies numerous good aspects, not only in the field of urban planning, but also in economic, sociological and artistic one. It results in transformation of the city landscape, which becomes more legible, harmonious and residents and tourists friendly. The new town's image has been designed to point advantages of the place, in which you can move around easily and where you can live in a more attractive way, not only during a day, but also in the evening and at night.

The pioneer of abstraction, Wassily Kandinsky (Васи́лий Васи́льевич Канди́нский, 1866–1944), used musical terms as titles for his paintings with intention to release them from the themes, considering that music is “the art which has devoted itself not to the reproduction of natural phenomena, but rather to the expression of the artist’s soul, in musical sound”. Through his paintings Kandinsky rethought the principles of music. Not a painting, but an another artistic creation, through which we are given a chance to cognize Kandinsky’s comprehension of music, is The Yellow Sound (Der gelbe Klang, 1912), a “composition” for stage. It is the paradigm of Kandinsky’s “true stage-composition”, his totally new view of theatre that consists of three elements – musical movement, pictorial movement, and physical movement, but interwoven together in harmony that will trigger inner harmony in a spectator. Music for his scenario was provided by the composer Thomas von Hartmann (Фома́ Алекса́ндрович Га́ртман, 1886–1956), and another musical version was written by Alfred Schnittke (Альфре́д Га́рриевич Шни́тке, 1934–1998 / Der gelbe Klang, 1974). In Concerning the Spiritual in Art Kandinsky presented his theory of colour through which he explained his own (synesthetic) view of yellow colour / sound, particularly in comparison with blue colour, that was “musicalized” through The Yellow Sound. What kind of yellow and blue tone Kandinsky had in mind, and what nuances of these colours did von Hartmann / Schnittke see / hear? What musical instrument(s) can produce yellow, i.e. blue colour? Which music scale / tone / interval has yellow / blue tone(s)? Are we able to perceive all the shades of yellow / blue sound?
Pionier abstrakcji, Wassily Kandinsky (Васи́лий Васи́льевич Канди́нский, 1866–1944), wykorzystywał terminy muzyczne jako tytuły swoich obrazów, by wyzwolić je z więzów utartych motywów, zwracając tym samym uwagę na to, że muzyka jest „sztuką, która poświęciła się nie odtwarzaniu zjawisk natury, lecz wyrażaniu duszy artysty przez dźwięk”. Za pośrednictwem swoich obrazów Kandinsky na nowo interpretował podstawy muzyki. Jednak to nie dzięki dziełu malarskiemu, a innemu efektowi kreacji artystycznej mamy szansę poznania sposobu, w jaki Kandinsky postrzegał muzykę. Mowa o „kompozycji” do sztuki Żołty dźwięk (Der gelbe Klang, 1912). Stanowi ona paradygmat „prawdziwej kompozycji scenicznej” Kandinsky’ego; jego własne, nowe spojrzenie na teatr, które składa się z trzech elementów: przepływu muzyki, przemieszczania się ilustracji oraz ruchu cielesnego, harmonijnie się przeplatających, co z kolei wyzwala uczucie wewnętrznej harmonii u widza. Muzykę do scenariusza abstrakcjonisty skomponował Thomas von Hartmann (Фома́ Алекса́ндрович Га́ртман, 1886–1956); jej inną wersję stworzył także Alfred Schnittke (Альфре́д Га́рриевич Шни́тке, 1934–1998). W dziele O duchowości w sztuce (1911) Kandinsky przedstawił swoją teorię koloru, która wyjaśnia jego własne (synestezyjne) postrzeganie żółtej barwy / dźwięku, zestawiając ją zwłaszcza z kolorem niebieskim, zmienionym w brzmienie w Żołtym dźwięku. Jakiego rodzaju żółte i niebieskie tony Kandinsky miał na myśli i jakie odcienie tych barw widzieli / słyszeli von Hartmann i Schnittke? Który instrument (bądź instrumenty) może wydać z siebie żółty lub niebieski dźwięk? Jaka muzyczna skala / nuta / interwał mają żółte / niebieskie zabarwienie? Czy jesteśmy w stanie odebrać wszystkie odcienie tych kolorów?

The author presents the main assumptions of the Peter Hess method applied for the purposes of prevention and therapy in work with pre-school, early school-age, and special educational needs children. She also emphasizes the fact that this method is still poorly known in Poland and needs researching. For several years the author has used sound massage as a supporting and relaxing method in her work with pre-school and early school-age children, including those with special educational needs.
Autorka przedstawia najważniejsze założenia metody Petera Hessa stosowane w profilaktyce i terapii dzieci w wieku przedszkolnym i młodszym wieku szkolnym oraz dzieci ze specjalnymi potrzebami edukacyjnymi. Podkreśla również, że metoda ta jest jeszcze mało znana w Polsce i wymaga badań. Od kilkunastu lat autorka wykorzystuje masaż dźwiękiem jako wspomagającą i re-laksującą metodę w pracy z dziećmi, w tym z dziećmi ze specjalnymi potrzebami edukacyjnymi.

The correct pronunciation of [č] sound is one of the most difficult problems in articulation that arises in the last period of speech development among children. Be it nursery rhymes or other rhymed texts, the orthophonic games and activities supposed to evoke this sound and develop articulation include the words of fairy‑tale origins; not only do they contain and exercise the aforementioned sound, but also they point to the theme that is liked and highly regarded by children. In addition to the brief analysis of this issue, the chapter presents some of the games and activities that might facilitate acquisition and processing of the correct pronunciation of the aforementioned “magical” sound.

Safety and security have been a prime priority in people’s lives, and having a surveillance system at home keeps people and their property more secured. In this paper, an audio surveillance system has been proposed that does both the detection and localization of the audio or sound events. The combined task of detecting and localizing the audio events is known as Sound Event Localization and Detection (SELD). The SELD in this work is executed through Convolutional Recurrent Neural Network (CRNN) architecture. CRNN is a stacked layer of convolutional neural network (CNN), recurrent neural network (RNN) and fully connected neural network (FNN). The CRNN takes multichannel audio as input, extracts features and does the detection and localization of the input audio events in parallel. The SELD results obtained by CRNN with the gated recurrent unit (GRU) and with long short-term memory (LSTM) unit are compared and discussed in this paper. The SELD results of CRNN with LSTM unit gives 75% F1 score and 82.8% frame recall for one overlapping sound. Therefore, the proposed audio surveillance system that uses LSTM unit produces better detection and overall performance for one overlapping sound.

Tato skutečnost se postupně odkrývá.
The paper is based on the contribution of Miloš Dokulil in the field of word formation and its application in Complex Language Analysis, it mentions him as a founding member of the journal Czech Language and Literature, then it focuses entirely on clarifying Miloš Dokulil’s contribution to the processing of the Čeština – řeč a jazyk (Czech Ż speech and language), which was significantly larger than originally expected and than is in the breakdown of the authors’ share given in the book. This fact is gradually being revealed.

The paper describes a specific design of the sound insulating enclosure of a vibrating sorter. Recycling aspects have been taken into account when designing the enclosure, because recycled foam has been applied as a sound-absorbing material. An acoustic camera was used to measure, analyze, evaluate and to localise and identify sound sources. The visualization method was used to locate the critical locations of the device and then quantify them. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed enclosure, the measurements of the sound parameters were performed before and after the realization soundproofing measure. The measured results show the requested efficiency of the sound insulating enclosure in terms of noise reduction as well as dust near the sorter.

Opis:
The researchers of pedagogical cooperation between teacher and student often notice that main difficulties arising for teachers during the teaching process are not uncommon related to authoritarian style of communication. It is especially difficult to overcome them when teaching the pronunciation. Creation of humorous situations during classes can become a step toward overcoming of such difficulties. Jokes, anecdotes, merry songs, animated cartoons and other can allow the teacher to communicate with students as with partners equal in rights and to solve given tasks successfully for forming and development of linguoculturological competence and correct Ukrainian pronunciation.
