Opis:
Outsourcing is one of the most popular phenomenon in today’s global economy. It can be defined as handing over some processes or services to an external company. In contrast shared services model is based on providing certain service by one part of the organization to the other parts, most commonly used in case of HR or IT services, but also payroll, accounting and others. The goal of this article is to describe briefly these two phenomena, showcase the examples from the international business environment and in the end compare these processes. Shared services model is mostly focused on optimizing: people, capital, time and other corporate resources. Shared services sector is developing rapidly in Poland thanks to highly-skilled workforce, good infrastructure and competitive labor costs. South-east Asia remains top outsourcing destination in the world, Cracow is ranked on 8th place among top outsourcing destinations in the world. The main research method used for this article is literature study

Opis:
Despite being sometimes compared to neighbors and satellite offices, coworking is a brand new system of office work, falling between conventional employment and working at home. In this system, individual entrepreneurs—freelancers—work at their own businesses, sharing office space at the same time. Its history is relatively short, just slightly over 10 years. However, since the first coworking office was founded in 2006, the movement has become largely popular; moreover, it is forecast that there should be at least 1.2 million active users of coworking spaces by the end of 2017. The purpose of the article is to describe Polish coworking spaces with a particular emphasis on Cracow being the second largest city in Poland and the biggest regional office work markets in the country. In order to present coworking phenomenon properly, still unfamiliar to a broad group of consumers, the analysis of the Cracow market has been preceded by a comprehensive introduction devoted to the discussion of the global tendencies, principles of offices organization including their types and history of origin supported with examples of interesting centres in Western Europe and the United States. Against this background, the results of coworking spaces in Cracow research are presented, together with examples, conducted during the period from January to March 2017. The statistical data concerning Cracow shared work spaces are confronted with the values characteristic for the Warsaw market being indisputably the largest and the most dynamic centre in the country, which is aimed at determination of the overall situation of coworking in Poland and provides the basis for determination of development tendencies of this form of work organization.

They are not considered only as physical places anymore but as new local relations that are being developed, based on not stable, however increasingly popular forms of sharing experiences. Opis:
The governance of universities and colleges in the United States basically follows the concept and spirit of democracy embraced by the nation from its birth.  The systems and practices in place at most U.S. institutions of higher learning include collaborative, representative, or collective decision-making arrangements known as shared governance.  However, these systems and practices are hardly uniform due to the diversity of governance patterns that reflect the unique and different history, needs, and mission of a particular institution.  Sometimes they are differentiated from, and contrasted with, corporate, business, and more authoritarian or centralized forms of institutional governance. In contrast with university governance elsewhere in the world-that can range from strong central government control to private self-regulated operations-the U.S. forms of campus governance have emerged in a country that does not have centralized authority over education.  U.S. institutions of higher learning respond to a variety of controls and interests that are on display variously at public, private non-profit, private for-profit, and religious universities.  Governance, authority, and administration are spread across a wide spectrum of players, including governing boards; presidents, chancellors, and other administrators; the academy/faculty; administrative staff; campus committees; students; and, even some external factors. Shared governance is not a perfect formula or panacea for university administration and decision-making.  It does, however, provide a methodology, system, and concept that can help guide the leadership of a university as it approaches the administration and conduct of its educational responsibilities.  In today’s higher education environment, the term governance is rather expansive.  In one sense, it means top-down governance that is the rightful role and authority of an institutional board charged with overseeing policy, programming, performance, and executive guidance and evaluation.  But, it also variously means the use of institutional strategies, operations, and components to distribute, disseminate, and “share” authority and responsibilities for a university’s administrative, management, and decision-making functions, i.e., “on-campus governance.”  In this respect, shared governance “borrows” many of the attributes and principles of democratic government. In any case, shared governance, in its many forms and applications, is widely practiced in U.S. universities, including Delta State University.

Purpose: The aim of the paper is to test whether and to what extent the concept of CSV can be utilized in the marketing strategy of companies, and more precisely, whether and to what extent it can be used as a criterion for positioning the company in the market. Methodology: The authors analysed the case of the Partnership for Health from the perspective of one partner, grocery retailer Biedronka. In addition, we have conducted consumer research among students to find out if consumers have a positive perception of products with a social mission. Findings: The research findings indicate that, according to the respondents’ perception, products with a social mission could comprise a basis for a positioning strategy for Biedronka, but for now, many customers do not even know that Biedronka offers such products in cooperation with its partners. The lack of a promotional campaign aimed at educating buyers had a negative impact on project awareness. It can even be stated that its potential wasn’t exploited from a marketing viewpoint. Research limitations/implications: The major limitation of the conducted research is the sampling procedure. The authors introduced their own scale for measuring the consumers’ approach to products with social missions. This scale can also be used for implementation of similar projects. Originality: In the subject literature there is a cognitive gap connected with the use of CSV concept in corporate marketing strategies. The authors determined how this concept could be used in marketing with special regard to the positioning strategy. Additionally a special scale was designed for measuring consumers’ approaches to products with a social mission.

In line with the concept of sustainable development, changes in various forms of urban transport have been observed over the past few years, and the implementation of low-emission transport solutions is becoming a priority for local government. One of the key changes observed worldwide taking place on the urban transport market is the dynamic development of various forms of shared micro-mobility. One of these forms are electric moped scooter sharing services and despite their rapid growth in popularity, the existing research contributions on determinants of the use of this micro-mobility mode are limited to only a few studies. The goal of this paper is to advance knowledge regarding the motives and barriers to the use of electric moped scooter sharing services. The paper discusses the results of a study that was carried out in 2021 on a sample of 352 Polish users of electric moped scooter sharing services. The most important reasons for using these services included the convenience of this mobility mode and no city parking costs. The biggest barriers in choosing this micro-mobility mode for Polish consumers were those related to the safety of use.

Thesis. The current paper deals with the idea of sisterhood which has been represented in a Bollywood movie named Parched. The movie manifests sisterhood as a way to find solace and to get rid of confinement from the oppressive and suffocating society that tries to confine women within the four walls of the house. Concept. Sisterhood is an association, group, society, or community of women who are linked by common interests. This alliance became popular during the second wave of feminism. A single woman cannot combat the oppressors. Only necessary solidarity and collective efforts would result in the desired improvements. Results and Conclusion. In our society, the term ‘brotherhood’ is used to designate camaraderie among men, but no term is used to denote companionship among women. In fact, it is assumed that women hate each other and this legacy of ‘women-hating’ is proved to be unfounded. Therefore, necessary solidarity is required to correct the patriarchal assumptions about women, and the idea of sisterhood is one effort in this direction.

Nowadays, the issue of sustainable mobility is very resonant in the professional public. Main topic for discussion is a transport as a one of the biggest polluters in the world. Today's transport brings a number of benefits to society, but often it has a high price. This price is paid by wasted human lives and serious environmental damage. Therefore there is no wonder that a number of cities, municipalities and regions regard transport as the key to their development, but at the same time as a threat to the health of the population, their safety and quality of a whole life. The combination of public and shared transport is necessary for clean and smart mobility. Shared economy is a concept of social change in the 21st century. This paper is focused on above mentioned issues. It describes levels of the smart city concept and principles and forms of shared economy in transport and shared mobility.

Opis:
Coworking spaces emerged in the mid-2000s as collaborative workplaces that actively supported teleworkers and self-employed knowledge workers who shared various (work) environments to interlace themselves in supportive networks, tackle isolation, positively influence well-being, and collaboratively participate in knowledge-sharing activities. However, with the swift popularisation of the coworking model by 2020, newly established flexible office spaces have begun to refer to themselves as community-based workplaces even though they lacked the capacity to support their users’ interactions and collaborative work. Therefore, the purpose of the paper is to explore how coworking spaces have transformed from community-based environments to a flexible place of work where establishing a collaborative community is not an organisational priority. The following exploratory research investigates a sample of 13 coworking spaces in Prague, the Czech Republic, and considers their capacity for supporting interactions and collaborative processes between their users. The results uncovered significant differences between coworking spaces, their spatial designs, the presence of mediation mechanisms, and the frequency of interactions between users, and suggest that the handful of sampled coworking environments misuse the notion of community. In that context, the following study indicates that contemporary coworking spaces can revert to community washing to deliberately pursue economic self-interest rather than support decentralised peer-to-peer exchange that would lead to developing a coworking community.

The paper aims at identifying the meaning of the content of the term sharing/collaborative economy as well as the positives and negatives of the sharing/collaborative economy model in the current hyper-competitive globalisation environment (e.g. risks for standard economic sectors such as transport, accommodation and food services).
