Opis:
Solving a stochastic problem for systems subjected to random series of pulses is, in the present case, aimed at determining of an approximate distribution of amplitudes of random pulses forcing vibrations of an oscillator with damping. The applied model of investigations indicated the source of difficulties connected with interpretation of the obtained results. Another issue discussed in the paper is how a change of the damping coefficient b of the system may result in a decrease of the difference between the actual distribution of random pulses and that determined from the waveform.

The dynamical behavior of the Morse oscillator is investigated primarily by means of the Lyapunov exponent and bifurcation diagrams. Then, the problem of controlling chaos for this oscillator is studied using a new method introduced by Behnia and Akhshani, which is based on the construction of slave-master feedback. In the control model based on slave-master feedback, the oscillator as the slave system is coupled with a dynamical system as the master, so its implementation becomes quite simple and similar statements can be made for the high dimensional cases. The validity of this method is verified by numerical simulations. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the proposed control model.

Opis:
The simple 3D-chaotic dynamics of an autonomous oscillator circuit was studied by measuring its responsible in the form of phase-portrait, power spectrum and chaotic time series. The new realization combines attractive features of the current feedback op-amp operating in both voltage and current modes to construct the active linear negative conductance. The component count is reduced and the chaotic spectrum is extended to higher frequencies. In addition, a buffered and isolated voltage output directly representing a state variable is made available. The circuit consists of just three linear elements (two capacitors and one inductor), one linear negative conductance and two ideal diodes. The power spectra are presented to confirm the strong chaotic nature of the oscillations of the circuit. The performance of the circuit is investigated by means of experimental simulation and numerical confirmation of the appropriate differential equations. The features of the obtained results are respected for various engineering systems such as chaos communication systems with robustness against various interferences.

We postulate a generalization of well-known logistic map to open the possibility of optimization the modelling process of the population evolution. For proposed generalized equation we illustrate the character of the transition from regularity to chaos for the whole spectrum of model parameters. As an example we consider specific cases for both periodic and chaotic regime. We focus on the character of the corresponding bifurcation sequence and on the quantitative nature of the resulting attractor as well as its universal attribute (Feigenbaum constant).

The paper presents another phase of the study aimed at determining distributions of random pulses forcing vibration of an oscillator with damping. At this stage, the impact of the pulses amplitudes on distributions determined in a finite time interval is discussed. Application of a mathematical model in simulations allows to determine the differences between the distributions generated in MATLAB environment and those determined by a function. The experiment was designed so that the qualitative analysis of the issue was possible.

Electrochemical behavior of copper in solution of potassium chloride under polarization with industrial alternating current is investigated. It is shown, that at polarization of copper-titanium electrode pair by an alternating current with frequency of 50 Hz in the solution of potassium iodide the copper electrode is dissolved, forming compound of copper (I) iodide. It is also shown, that current efficiency of formation of copper (I) iodide is influenced by (i) the density of alternating current, (ii) concentration of potassium iodide and hydrochloric acid in solution. On the basis of the research the optimum conditions of obtaining of copper (I) iodide have been determined. At the optimum conditions the current efficiency of formation of copper (I) iodide was more than 100.0%. The advantages of the electrochemical method are the economical efficiency, simplicity of process, purity of the obtained product, electrolysis at room temperature, improvement of the working conditions.

The generation and nonlinear dynamics of one-dimensional optical dissipative solitonic pulses are examined. The variational method is extended to complex dissipative systems, in order to obtain steady state solutions of the (1+1)-dimensional complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation. A stability criterion is established fixing a domain of dissipative parameters for stable steady state solutions. Following numerical simulations, evolution of any input pulse from this domain leads to stable dissipative temporal solitons. Analytical predictions are confirmed by numerical evolution of input temporal pulses towards stable dissipative solitons.

We study experimentally nodal domains of wave functions (electric field distributions) lying in the regime of Breit-Wigner ergodicity in the chaotic microwave half-circular ray-splitting rough billiard. Using the rough billiard without ray-splitting properties we also study the wave functions lying in the regime of Shnirelman ergodicity. The wave functions Ψ$\text{}_{N}$ of the ray-splitting billiard were measured up to the level number N=204. In the case of the rough billiard without ray-splitting properties, the wave functions were measured up to N=435. We show that in the regime of Breit-Wigner ergodicity most of wave functions are delocalized in the n, l basis. In the regime of Shnirelman ergodicity wave functions are homogeneously distributed over the whole energy surface. For such wave functions, lying both in the regimes of Breit-Wigner and Shnirelman ergodicity, the dependence of the number of nodal domains Ɲ$\text{}_{N}$ on the level number N was found. We show that in the regimes of Breit-Wigner and Shnirelman ergodicity least squares fits of the experimental data reveal the numbers of nodal domains that in the asymptotic limit N→∞ coincide within the error limits with the theoretical predictionƝ$\text{}_{N}$/N≃ 0.062. Finally, we demonstrate that the signed area distribution Σ$\text{}_{A}$ can be used as a useful criterion of quantum chaos.

In previous papers formulas have been derived describing distribution of a random variable whose values are positions of an oscillator at the moment t, which, in the interval [0, t], underwent the influence of stochastic impulses with a given distribution. In this paper we present reasoning leading to an opposite inference thanks to which, knowing the course of the oscillator, we can find the approximation of distribution of stochastic impulses acting on it. It turns out that in the case of an oscillator with damping the stochastic process $ξ_{t}$ of its deviations at the moment t is a stationary and ergodic process for large t. Thanks to this, time average of almost every trajectory of the process, which is the n-th power of $ξ_{t}$ is very close to the mean value of $ξ_{t}^{n}$ in space for sufficiently large t. Thus, having a course of a real oscillator and theoretical formulae for the characteristic function $ξ_{t}$ we are able to calculate the approximate distribution of stochastic impulses forcing the oscillator.

This paper presents an interesting issue of using hybrid dynamical system to chaos synchronization and its application in secure communication using a new 5D hyperchaotic systems. The slave system is modeled by an unknown input observer, in which the unknown input issued from the hybrid system is the transmitted information. Based on the descriptor observer design, the Lyapunov stability theory and some robustness criteria, new sufficient synthesis conditions are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities that we can obtain the estimations of both the hybrid system states and the transmitted signals. Numerical examples are provided to show the performances of the proposed approach.

In our previous works we introduced and applied a mathematical model that allowed us to calculate the approximate distribution of the values of stochastic impulses $η_{i}$ forcing vibrations of an oscillator with damping from the trajectory of its movement. The mathematical model describes correctly the functioning of a physical RLC system if the coefficient of damping is large and the intensity λ of impulses is small. It is so because the inflow of energy is small and behaviour of RLC is stable. In this paper we are going to present some experiments which characterize the behaviour of an oscillator RLC in relation to the intensity parameter λ, precisely to λ E(η). The parameter λ is a constant in the exponential distribution of random variables $τ_{i}$, where $τ_{i} = t_{i} - t_{i - 1}$, i = 1, 2, ... are intervals between successive impulses.
