Opis:: Los estudios de recepción de la literatura española en lenguas extranjeras son numerosos, pero aún insuficientes, ante el gran número de lenguas y el amplio periodo cronológico que es posible analizar. En esta contribución analizamos la recepción de la literatura española contemporánea en Polonia a través de los programas de ayuda a la traducción ofrecidos por el Ministerio de Cultura de España. Estos programas, convocados anualmente, permiten conocer en buena medida cuáles son los autores españoles más solicitados por las editoriales extranjeras, lo que ahonda en nuestro conocimiento comercial de las tendencias editoriales y en el establecimiento de un posible canon de la literatura española contemporánea. Nuestro estudio considera el periodo más reciente, el comprendido entre los años 2006-2016, y trata de responder a preguntas como cuáles son esos autores y títulos más traducidos, qué géneros predominan y qué editoriales polacas tienen mayor interés en la publicación de la literatura española contemporánea.
Studies on reception of Spanish literature into foreign languages are increasing but are still insufficient because of the large number of languages and the long chronological period to be analyzed. This paper proposes an approach to the reception of contemporary Spanish literature in Poland through the translation grants offered by the Spanish government. These grants allow us to know which are the most in-demand Spanish authors by foreign publishers, and how the publishing trends are changing the canon of contemporary Spanish literature. Our study considers the period between 2006-2016 and tries to answer questions such as which are the most translated Spanish authors and titles, which genres predominate and which Polish publishers have the greatest interest in the publication of contemporary Spanish literature.

Opis:: The writings of Sylwia Chutnik are mainly interpreted from the two perspectives: gender and urban (Warsaw). These two perspectives are intertwined in her novels, starting from her very first Kieszonkowy atlas kobiet and continuing till her most recent collection of short stories W krainie czarów, thus giving her prose specific, seditious, and emergency character. This article attempts at firstly, showing Chutnik’s writing as a creative (and increasingly interesting, vide Cwaniary) way of developing fundamental beliefs and problems, narrative and plot structure devices, and literary patterns already used (if only in embryonic form) in the four stories of her first book. Secondly, the article attempts at presenting the literary intertextual background of this prose – exceptionally rich, conscious and… effective.
L’oeuvre de Sylwia Chutnik est perçue avant tout dans deux contextes : genriste et municipal (varsovien). Les deux perspectives s’entrelacent dans ses romans – du premier ouvrage Kieszonkowy atlas kobiet jusqu’au dernier recueil de récits W krainie czarów – et déterminent un caractère spécifique, séditieux et interventionnel de cette littérature. Premièrement, on a essayé de présenter l’écriture de Chutnik comme un développement créatif (de plus en plus intéressant, voir Cwaniary de ses convictions et problèmes essentiels, de ses procédés narratifs et ceux d’affabulation, ainsi que de ses modèles littéraires visibles déjà (au moins à l’état embryonnaire) dans quatre récits de son premier roman ; deuxièmement, on a essayé de présenter l’arrière-plan littéraire et intertextuel de cette prose – exceptionnellement riche, conscient et… efficace.

Opis:: Celem studium jest udowodnienie, że współczesne teksty literackie są doskonałym tworzywem dydaktycznym na zajęciach z języka polskiego oraz literatury dla obcokrajowców. Artykuł poświęcony jest fragmentowi prozy Zyty Rudzkiej i propozycjom wykorzystania go na kursach jpjo oraz tych oferowanych w ramach filologii polskich jako obcych. Podstawą do podjęcia tematu zróżnicowania płciowego w polszczyźnie stało się doświadczenie lektoratowe Autorki. Umiejętność skutecznego posługiwania się językiem obejmuje bowiem nie tylko jego standardową odmianę, ale również odmianę nieoficjalną i potoczną (za A. Wilkoniem „mówioną”): regionalną, środowiskową lub/i zawodową. Coraz częściej na zajęciach pojawiają się też jednak pytania o biologiczne zróżnicowanie języka. Artykuł udowadnia, że przy omawianiu tego zagadnienia warto sięgnąć po tekst literacki. Autorka rozpoczyna wywód od prezentacji stanowisk dotyczących biolektów i ich wyznaczników. Opisuje dyskusję toczącą się wokół literatury kobiecej i stylu kobiecego w prozie. Następnie bierze na warsztat fragment powieści Zyty Rudzkiej i zasadza go w realiach glottodydaktyki polonistycznej. Prezentuje ćwiczenia językowe i mediacyjne, które wpisują się w socjokulturowe refleksje nad płciowością i rolami społecznymi kobiet i mężczyzn.
The purpose of the paper is to demonstrate that contemporary literary texts are excellent teaching material in Polish language and literature classes for foreigners. The article is devoted to an excerpt from Zyta Rudzka’s prose and proposals for its use in PFL courses and those taught in Polish philology as a foreign language. The basis for taking up the topic of gender diversity in Polish was the author’s lecture experience. After all, the ability to use a language efficiently includes not only its standard variety, but also its unofficial and colloquial (after Wilkon „spoken”) variety: regional, environmental and/or professional. Increasingly, however, questions about the biological variation of language are also being raised in the class. The article proves that when discussing this issue, it is useful to turn to a literary text. The author begins the argument by presenting positions on women’s literature and women’s style in prose. She describes the discussion taking place around biolects and presents their determinants. Then she reaches for an excerpt from Zyta Rudzka’s novel and sets it in the reality of Polish language glottodidactics. She presents linguistic and mediation exercises that fit into sociocultural considerations of gender and social roles of men and women.

Opis:: This article deals with Kazimierz Wójtowicz's series Emaus – werset po wersecie (Emmaus - verse by verse), unique in Polish poetry and included in the volume Po prostu Emaus. Wybór wierszy z lat 1978–2016 (Just Emaus. A selection of poems from 1978–2016) (Kraków 2016). The discussed reflection is divided into four segments. The first is an introduction. It shows the priest-poet's fascination with the biblical theme of Emmaus, as evidenced by his numerous ekphrastic and non- ekphrastic poems, classified by the author as Emaus w słowie (Emmaus in the word) and Emaus w obrazie (Emmaus in the image). The second part is an attempt to systematize biblical commentaries on the pericope of St. Luke (24, 13–35). Three main directions of interpretation are discussed, namely, liturgical, symbolic, and the contrapuntal nature of the pericope on Emmaus in relation to the passage about the meeting of the Risen Jesus with Mary Magdalene. The third most extensive segment includes the analysis of 15 poems within the series of our interest that paraphrases most of the verses from the pericope of St. Luke. The description of the following poems is not extensive due to the modest size of this article. In the last segment, it is emphasized that Wójtowicz's poetic reflection on the pericope of St. Luke has artistic values and is also kerygmatic in nature. Commenting on biblical verses using the language of poetry, we primarily refer to the symbolism of the pericope. We use liturgical interpretation to a lesser extent. In the end, our attempt is made to juxtapose the series with other poems by Wójtowicz about Emmaus.
Artykuł traktuje o bezprecedensowym w polskiej poezji cyklu Kazimierza Wójtowicza Emaus — werset po wersecie włączonym do tomu Po prostu Emaus. Wybór wierszy z lat 1978–2016 (Kraków 2016). Prezentowana refleksja jest podzielona na cztery segmenty. Pierwszy ma charakter wprowadzenia. Pokazuje fascynację kapłana-poety biblijnym motywem Emaus, o czym świadczą rozliczne jego liryki ekfrastyczne oraz nieekfrastyczne, przez autora klasyfikowane jako Emaus w słowie oraz Emaus w obrazie. Druga część jest próbą usystematyzowania komentarzy biblistów na temat perykopy św. Łukasza (24,13–35). Omówione zostały trzy główne kierunki interpretacyjne: liturgiczny, symboliczny oraz uwzględniający kontrapunktowość perykopy o Emaus wobec fragmentu opowiadającego o spotkaniu Zmartwychwstałego Jezusa z Marią Magdaleną. Trzeci segment — najobszerniejszy — przynosi analizę 15 liryków składających się na analizowany cykl, parafrazujących większość wersetów z perykopy św. Łukasza. Opis kolejnych utworów nie jest rozbudowany ze względu na skromne rozmiary tego artykułu. W części ostatniej podkreślono, że poetycka medytacja Wójtowicza nad perykopą św. Łukasza posiada walory artystyczne, ma też charakter kerygmatyczny. Komentując wersety biblijne za pomocą języka poezji, autor nawiązuje przede wszystkim do symboliki perykopy. W mniejszym stopniu sięga do interpretacji liturgicznej. W zakończeniu podjęto próbę zestawienia cyklu z innymi lirykami Wójtowicza o Emaus.

Opis:: The article is an attempt to situate the world of peculiar creatures created in the ballads of Bolesław Leśmian with other bestiaries drawn from mythology and literary creations in the field of science fiction, fairy tales and grotesque, creativity for children and popular culture, by, for instance, Jorge Luis Borges, Stanisław Lem, Konstanty Ildefons Gałczyński, Maciej Wojtyszko. Against this background, the distinctiveness of Leśmian’s imagination makes us call it a fantastic ontology and references to the category of “other-beings”. Leśmian creates his characters in an anti-anthropocentric perspective as an alternative existence. Their appearance remains undetermined as the residual characteristics dispersed in the narrative focus primarily on their existence marginalized with regard to the real world. An overviewof the most important Leśmian creatures closes with a detailed interpretation of the ballad Znikomek from the collection Napój cienisty (Shadowy Drink).
Artykuł jest próbą usytuowania świata osobliwych stworów kreowanych w balladach Bolesława Leśmiana wobec innych bestiariuszy wywiedzionych z mitologii oraz literackich kreacji w zakresie: science fiction, baśni i groteski, twórczości dla dzieci i kultury popularnej, m.in. Jorge Luisa Borgesa, Stanisława Lema, Konstantego Ildefonsa Gałczyńskiego, Macieja Wojtyszki. Na tym tle odrębność wyobraźni Leśmiana skłania do nazwania jej ontologią fantastyczną i odniesienia do kategorii „innobytu”. Leśmian kreuje swe postaci w perspektywie anty-antropocentrycznej – jako istnienia alternatywne. Ich wyglądy pozostają niedookreślone, gdyż szczątkowe charakterystyki rozpraszone w narracji skupiają się przede wszystkim na ich marginalizowanej wobec świata realnego egzystencji. Przegląd ważniejszych Leśmianowskich stworów zamyka szczegółowa interpretacja ballady Znikomek ze zbioru Napój cienisty.

Opis:: The subject of this article is an analysis of two poems by Pär Lagerkvist from his late book Aftonland (1953) in a context which has not been considered in previous research, i.e. a poem I’ sto rinchiuso come la midolla… by Michelangelo Buonarroti. In his poems about old age and the aging artist, Lagerkvist is close to some of the crucial poetic images drawn by Michelangelo – an artist whom the Swede highly esteemed. Additionally, a Polish translation of the two poems (Gammal genius. Vid färdens sista rast…) is proposed.
