Opis:
In this article, we will delve into two key aspects: the family as a fundamental and prioritized value within everyday values and the aspirations of young people regarding marriage. The sociological analysis is grounded in the outcomes of public opinion surveys and research conducted in the first and second decades of the 21st century. Throughout the 20th century and the initial decade of the 21st century, family and contented family life consistently held the top spot among the life goals of Poles, standing out as one of the most cherished values. However, in the course of the accelerated transformation of Polish society, success or a thriving professional career is emerging as a distinct life value for young Poles, competing to some extent with the significance attributed to family. Notably, around 60% of respondents among school youth express a commitment to formal marriage in their future plans.
W niniejszym artykule zwrócimy uwagę na trzy kwestie: na rodzinę jako wartość podstawową i priorytetową wśród wartości codziennych oraz na plany młodzieży zawarcia związku małżeńskiego. Przeprowadzone analizy socjologiczne opierają się na wynikach sondaży opinii publicznej i rezultatach badań socjologicznych zrealizowanych w pierwszej i drugiej dekadzie XXI wieku. Rodzina i szczęśliwe życie rodzinne znajdowały się w XX wieku i w pierwszej dekadzie XXI wieku na pierwszym miejscu wśród celów życiowych Polaków, należała do najwyżej cenionych wartości. W procesie przyspieszonej transformacji społeczeństwa polskiego sukces czy kariera zawodowa stają się poniekąd osobliwą wartością życiową młodych Polaków, do pewnego stopnia konkurujących z wartością rodziny. Wśród młodzieży szkolnej około 60% badanych jest zdecydowanych w przyszłości zawrzeć formalny związek małżeński. Przeprowadzone analizy socjologiczne opierają się na wynikach sondaży opinii publicznej i rezultatach badań socjologicznych, zrealizowanych w pierwszej i drugiej dekadzie XXI wieku.

Opis:
The ontological loneliness of the human being, experienced in the personological aspects of existence, may become constructive or destructive, a fact that depends on the person's will and the factors mentioned in the paper. Having conducted a conceptual analysis, the opposite tendencies in the contemporary times were shown: towards universalism and unification on the one hand, and excessive individualism on the other. They are conducive to cultivate loneliness and ignore the possibility to transform it in person-making solitude. The indispensable experience of loneliness may become something that is voluntarily turned into a chronic form that impairs the personal development, whose manifestations have been characterised. The false picture of the gift of solitude has been set side by side with its proper interpretation, the interpretation that is conditioned by the acceptance of the true hierarchy of values. It allows us to perceive the values of solitude shown in the text. The importance of the personal trait of solitude is shown in its role decisive of development or regress, in dependence on its true or false interpretation. It is worth considering the hidden message of the attribute of ontic separation. That separation, as it is impossible to replace solitude by material and human factors, directs persons towards the supernatural reality. The “Gospel of solitude” means hope to do away with loneliness and turn it into solitude that brings unity with God.

Opis:
Wstęp. Śmierć pacjentów jest nieuniknionym elementem w pracy pielęgniarek. Wiąże się z przeżywaniem różnorodnych emocji co wpływa na ich system wartości i życie osobiste. Cel. Celem niniejszej pracy było badanie postaw pielęgniarek wobec pacjentów umierających, przedstawienie ich emocji, lęku i przeżyć związanych ze śmiercią pacjentów oraz ocena wpływu na życie osobiste badanych. Metody i materiał. Wyniki badań własnych omówione są na podstawie ankiety przeprowadzonej w grupie 100 pielęgniarek oraz narzędzia wystandaryzowanego Mini-COPE. Wyniki. Stan cywilny i wykształcenie nie różnicują postaw pielęgniarek wobec umierania i śmierci pacjenta. Natomiast wiek oraz staż pracy okazał się czynnikiem istotnie różnicującym zmianę hierarchii wartości po śmierci pacjenta i wpływał dodatnio na poziom stresu. Wnioski. Kontakt pielęgniarek z pacjentami umierającymi naraża na stres, negatywne emocje, duże obciążenie psychiczne. Zdolność współczucia, odpowiednie przygotowanie pielęgniarek ma duży wpływ na zapewnienie zmniejszenia cierpienia i godnego umierania pacjenta.
Introduction. Patient death is an unavoidable element in the work of nurses. It is associated with experiencing various emotions which affects their value system and personal life. The aim. To examine the attitudes of nurses towards dying patients, to present their emotions, anxiety and experiences related to patients' deaths and to assess the impact on the personal life of the respondents. Methods and research material. The results of own research based on the questionnaire as well as the standardized Mini-COPE tool. Results. Gender, marital status and education do not differentiate the attitudes of nurses towards the dying and death of the patient. On the other hand, age and seniority turned out to be a factor that significantly differentiated the change in the hierarchy of values after the patient's death and had a positive effect on the level of stress. Conclusions. Summing up this work, it should be noted that the contact of nurses with dying patients exposes them to stress, negative emotions and high psychological burden. Their hierarchy of values changed after the patient's death. The ability to sympathize and proper preparation of nurses has a great impact on ensuring the reduction of suffering and the patient's dying.
