Opis:: In this paper, we propose a control Lyapunov function based on a nonlinear controller for a turbocharged diesel engine. A model-based approach is used which predicts the experimentally observed engine performance for a biodiesel. The basic idea is to develop an inverse optimal control and to employ a Lyapunov function in order to achieve good performances. The obtained controller gain guarantees the global convergence of the system and regulates the flows for the variable geometry turbocharger as well as exhaust gas recirculation systems in order to minimize the NO_x emission and the smoke of a biodiesel engine. Simulation of the control performances based on professional software and experimental results show the effectiveness of this approach.

Opis:: Przedstawiono budowę stanowiska badawczego oraz metodykę z procedurą obliczeniową do wyznaczania współczynników wnikania, przewodzenia i przenikania ciepła przez lutnie elastyczne. Omówiono charakterystykę procesu wymiany ciepła przez przenikanie od czynnika grzewczego płynącego w cylindrycznym przewodzie do otoczenia.
Design of test bench as well as methodology with calculation procedure for determination of convection and overall heat transfer coefficient as well as thermal conductivity for flexible ventubes is presented. Heat transfer process by convection from heating medium in a cylindrical duct to the surrounding environment is discussed.

Opis:: This paper presents a basic methodology and equipment setup used for an electric motor designed for light-duty vehicles, testing on a hybrid engine test bench equipped with an active AC dynamometer. The methodology used during the test was based on the appropriate regulation (UN-ECE Regulation 85). An example of mechanical performance measurements is presented, as well as an overall layout of the measurement devices used for testing, including a scheme detailing all electrical connections between the equipment employed during the test. The paper takes into consideration the necessity of development and subsequent improvements of the methodology employed during testing of e-motors, which due to the highly changeable and competitive automotive environment, will undoubtedly have a gradually increasing share and significance in the automotive industry.

Opis:: The results of torsional shaft vibration bench tests for a prototype aircraft propeller speed reduction unit are presented in this paper. The study was conducted as a function of engine speed and lubrication conditions. 3D model of the propeller speed reduction unit was developed. By using the finite element method, normal modes frequencies were defined. The simulation was conducted both unloaded and loaded under nominal power conditions.

Opis:: Najważniejszymi źródłami emisji rtęci w Polsce, obok procesów spalania w sektorze produkcji i transformacji energii oraz przemysłu chemicznego, są wydobycie i przeróbka węgla kamiennego. Wiedza o zawartości rtęci w węglu oraz odpadach górniczych i transferze tego pierwiastka w cyklu życia węgla kamiennego (od wydobycia do deponowania odpadów), może przyczynić się do optymalizacji zarządzania zasobami naturalnymi i gospodarką odpadami. W niniejszym artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań laboratoryjnych zawartości rtęci w węglu kamiennym oraz w odpadach towarzyszących jego wydobyciu i przeróbce. Zaprezentowano także bazę danych dotyczącą zawartości rtęci w próbkach węgla surowego oraz próbkach przemysłowych.
Mining and processing coal are the most significant sources of mercury emissions in Poland, next of combustion processes in the production and transformation of energy and chemical industry. Knowledge of the mercury content in coal and mining wastes and the transfer of this element in the "life cycle" of coal - from mining to waste deposit can help to optimize the management of natural resources and waste management. In this paper the merits of undertaking research on qualitative and quantitative mass flux of mercury from the start of the element of the natural geological deposits. It also presents the results of the first phase of laboratory tests for determining the mercury content of coal and associated mining waste and the carbon conversion of the best currently available technology in this field.
