Opis:
W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu czynników fizycznych, chemicznych i geometrycznych na wartość modułu sprężystości poprzecznej ziarna pszenicy. Analiza statystyczna wykazała, że czynniki istotne to wskaźnik twardości PSI, szklistość ziarna oraz grubość okrywy owocowo- nasiennej i warstwy aleuronowej. Wszystkie zależności mają charakter liniowy.
Results of investigations on the influence of physical, chemical and geometrical factors on the value of transverse elasticity modulus of wheat grain were presented in this paper. Statistic analysis showed that the hardness index, vitreousity and thickness of seed coat and aleuronic layer were the most important factors. All relations are linear.

Opis:
A great progress had been made in narrow-leafed lupin in a comparatively short period. Despite elimination of basic disadvantages (hard seeds, high content of alkaloids, pod shattering) disease-resistant, unbranched and thermoneutral cultivars have been bred. Investigations on the variation range and inheritance mode of commercially important characters were followed by breeding achievements. The paper contains a review of references for 35 genes controlling alkaloid content, growth rhythm, branching, vegetation length, shape and color of leaves, color of flowers and seeds, seed hardiness, pod characters and disease resistance. Authors of characters and gene symbols from different research centres and from different years are given on the basis of priority. The importance of these genes for breeding improvement is discussed. Type lines for characters/genes and genotype of more important cultivars collected in the Polish narrow-leafed lupin genebank are presented.

Opis:
This paper presents the results of comparative studies on seed morphology and anatomy of two species: Erica carnea and E. erigena. SEM and LM micrographs are presented. The seeds differ in size and shape of epidermal cells of the seed coat, but they represent the same structural type, which is clearly dissimilar from that of the other European species of this genus.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę celowości usunięcia okrywy nasiennej w wyniku obłuskiwania na podstawie informacji budowy morfologicznej nasion. W kolejnym etapie przeanalizowano podział konstrukcyjny obłuskiwaczy ze względu na rodzaj obłuskiwanych nasion. Opracowano nową konstrukcję obłuskiwacza do nasion oleistych i sposób jego funkcjonowania.
The study analyzed the purposefulness of removal of seed coat as a result of dehulling based on the information of the morphology of seeds. In the next stage of the construction division dehuller analyzed by type of dehulling seeds. A new design of dehuller the seed of oil and how it operates.
