Była to rodzina mieszczańska wywodząca się z Lwówka, która weszła do stanu rycerskiego, a za sprawą służby dla książąt awansowała do elity majątkowej w księstwie świdnicko-jaworskim. Artykuł przedstawia genealogię, rozwój majątku oraz pozycję społeczną rodziny. 
The paper is devoted to the Silesian family of the Reussendorfs from the end of the 13th century to the beginning of the 15th century. It was a burgher family from Lwówek (Löwenberg), which entered the knighthood estate, and thanks to their service at the ducal courts, achieved a high position among the elite of the Duchy of Świdnica-Jawor (Schweidnitz-Jauer). The paper presents the genealogy, estate expansion, and social position of the family.

W 1367 roku generalny starosta wielkopolski Wierzbięta z Palowic poświadczony został na dworze księcia świdnicko-jaworskiego Bolka II Małego. Cel jego wizyty nie jest znany, aczkolwiek podejrzewać można, że miał on charakter polityczny. Wierzbiętę łączyły z księstwem świdnicko-jaworskim również inne kontakty. W granicach księstwa, w okolicach Jawora, posiadał majątek, a także wydał tam za mąż swą córkę Elżbietę. Jej mężem został rycerz Mikołaj Bolz, kuchmistrz Bolka II Małego, następnie ochmistrz wdowy po nim, księżnej Agnieszki Habsburskiej. Mikołaj należał do elity politycznej i finansowej w księstwie świdnicko-jaworskim. Przypuszczalnie znajomość ze swym teściem nawiązać mógł podczas jego pobytu na dworze świdnickim. Obaj dostojnicy poznać mogli się jednak także za sprawą obracania się w kręgu wspólnych znajomych — Falkenhainów i Samborowiców.
Im Jahre 1367 wurde der Oberlandeshauptmann Großpolens — Wierzbięta aus Palowice, am Hof des Herzogs von Schweidnitz-Jauer, Bolko II. des Kleinen, ausgewiesen. Der Grund seines Besuchs ist nicht bekannt, obwohl es sich vermuten lässt, dass er politisch bedingt war. Wierzbięta stand auch durch andere Beziehungen mit dem Herzogtum von Schweidnitz-Jauer in Verbindung. Er besaß ein Landgut innerhalb der Grenzen des Herzogtums, und zwar in der Nähe von Jauer, und verheiratete dort seine Tochter Elisabeth. Ihr Ehemann war Ritter Nikolaus Bolz, der Küchenmeister von Bolko II. dem Kleinen und der spätere Hofmeister seiner Witwe — Herzogin Agnes von Habsburg. Nikolaus gehörte zur politischen und finanziellen Elite des Herzogtums. Man kann nicht ausschließen, dass er die Bekanntschaft mit seinem Schwiegervater während dessen Aufenthalts am Hof von Schweidnitz angeknüpft hat. Die beiden Würdenträger könnten sich aber auch über ihre gemeinsamen Bekannten — Herren von Falkenhain und Tschammer, kennengelernt haben.
In 1367, the general starost of Greater Poland, Wierzbięta from Palowice, was certified at the court of the prince of Świdnica-Jawor, Bolko II the Small. The purpose of his visit is not known, although it can be suspected that it was political. Wierzbięta was also connected with the Duchy of Świdnica-Jawor by other contacts. Within the borders of the duchy, in the vicinity of Jawor, he owned property and married his daughter Elżbieta there. Her husband was the knight Nicholas Bolz, the chef of Bolko II the Small, and subsequently the steward of the widow, Princess Agnes of Austria. Nicholas belonged to the political and financial elite in the Duchy of Świdnica-Jawor. Presumably, he could have made acquaintance with his father-in-law during his stay at the Court of Świdnica. However, both dignitaries could also get to know each other thanks to their circle of mutual friends, the families of Falkenhain and Samborowic.

The fact that a lot of people in Poland travel by car creates a lot of different business opportunities for the retail sector. Petrol stations are among various entities that attempt to take advantage of this situation. The main purpose of this article is to identify and assess the behaviour of petrol station customers in Poland regarding their motivations for choosing particular facilities and their non-fuel purchases.The study is based on results of a CAWI survey of 603 customers. To make sure that sample was representative, its composition was controlled in terms of the following respondent variables: sex, age, size of the town of residence and province. Consumer behaviour can be affected by a number of factors but only some of them could be addressed in the study, which can be regarded as one of its biggest limitations. Nevertheless, the results provide an interesting insight on this topic. The main contributions of the study include the creation of a typology of petrol stations, identification and assessment of consumer motives for selecting a given facility and information about non-fuel purchases made by customers. The most frequent motives for selecting a given petrol station include convenient location, brand, and the price of petrol and other products. In addition to fuel, customers usually stop to buy coffee and fast food, alcoholic beverages and basic groceries. The authors discuss statistically significant differences between different types of petrol stations in the above mentioned respects. The results of the survey can be of interest to owners of petrol stations as guidance on how to adjust their marketing strategies, especially in terms of the composition of their offering.

Purpose: The principal aim of the article is to present changes in the accessibility of regional products understood as introducing them into trade formats in which they have not previously been present. The article will also present the characteristics of the petrol station sector in Poland. Design/methodology/approach: The article will present the results of own research in terms of perception and assessment of marketing innovations by station customers. The study was carried out using the CAWI internet interview technique on a nationwide, representative sample of adult Poles. Findings: The research shows that Poles are eager to buy regional products and look for them in places where they have never been available before (petrol stations). Practical implications: This article concerns the case study of PKN ORLEN petrol station network. It can be assumed that the remaining operators of the station networks will introduce regional products to the offer shortly as the regional goods are being chosen increasingly and desired by customers of petrol stations in Poland. Originality/value: The article deals with the problem of selling products at petrol stations, i.e. in a trade format that is not sufficiently described in the literature. The authors see a research gap in this field.

Archaeological excavations conducted recently in Kalisz brought about two groups of Jagiellonian pennies. One is a small hoard of less than twenty coins of Vladislaus Jagiełło, found near the St. Joseph Sanctuary. The other comprises 37 coins found separately in archaeological excavations at early mediaeval settlement known as Stare Miasto (Old Town), adjacent to the hillfort at Zawodzie.

The article presents the results of a simulation of groundwater flow in the near vicinity of a small storage reservoir, Strużyna. The calculations of water flow in the porous area were conducted using HYDRUS 2D/3D software. The extent of the reservoir’s influence on the groundwaters in steady flow conditions was determined. The results were compared with field monitoring data. The field measurements confirmed the negligible impact of precipitation on groundwater level. It was found that the permeability of bottom reservoir has a significant impact on the extent of the reservoir influence. Increasing the groundwater level with simultaneously removal of low permeable soil created a flood risk to buildings near the reservoir. As a result the probable cause of fundament inundation in the near vicinity was indicated.
W artykule przedstawiono wyniki symulacji przepływu wód gruntowych w pobliżu niewielkiego zbiornika retencyjnego Strużyna. Obliczenia przepływu wody w obszarze porowatym przeprowadzono za pomocą oprogramowania HYDRUS 2D/3D. Określono zasięg oddziaływania zbiornika na wody gruntowe w warunkach stałego przepływu. Wyniki zostały porównane z pomiarami terenowymi, wskazały m.in. pomijalny wpływ deszczu na poziom wód gruntowych. Stwierdzono, że poziom uszczelnienia dna zbiornika ma istotny wpływ na wody gruntowe w jego otoczeniu. Zwiększenie poziomu piętrzenia przy jednoczesnym usunięciu z dna i ścian bocznych zbiornika gruntów o niskiej przenikalności stworzyło zagrożenie podtopieniem dla budynków zlokalizowanych w pobliżu zbiornika. W rezultacie wskazano prawdopodobną przyczynę zalania fundamentów w najbliższym otoczeniu.

Celem pracy było zastosowanie wybranej metody uczenia maszynowego do optymalizacji procesu zarządzania energią w pojeździe elektrycznym i minimalizacji jej zużycia w różnych warunkach pracy. Został opracowany model pojazdu składający się z dwóch silników elektrycznych IPMSM (ang. Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor), baterii oraz sił zewnętrznych oddziałujących na pojazd. Przeprowadzono wiele testów zachowania się pojazdu, podczas różnych warunków panujących w środowisku testo-wym i różnych strategii sterowania silnikiem elektrycznym. Dodatkowo została opracowana aplikacja mobilna, która pozwala na odczyt danych z żyroskopu oraz modułu GPS w celu zebrania danych uczących, walidacyjnych i testowych potrzebnych do uczenia maszynowego. W niniejszej pracy ograniczono się do zastosowano uczenia z nauczycielem. Podsumowano uzyskane wyniki i wybrano najefektywniejszy sposób optymalizacji zużycia energii.
The aim of the study was to apply a selected machine learning method to optimize the energy management process of an electric vehicle and minimize its energy consumption under various operating conditions. A vehicle model was developed, consisting of two IPMSM electric motors, batteries, and external forces acting on the vehicle. A number of tests were carried out on the vehicle's behavior, during different test environment conditions and different IPMSM motor control strategies. In addition, a mobile application was developed to read data from the gyroscope and GPS module in order to collect learning, validation, and test data needed for machine learning. In the present study, the application was limited to teaching with a teacher. The results obtained were summarized and the most effective way to optimize energy consumption was selected.

Businesses are increasingly confronted with server-related problems. More and more, businesses are enabling remote working and need to rely on network services. The provision of network services requires rebuilding the network infrastructure and the way employees are provided with data. Web applications and server services use common dependencies and require a specific network configuration. This often involves collisions between network ports and common dependencies’ configuration. This problem can be solved by separating the conflicting applications into different servers, but this involves the cost of maintaining several servers. Another solution may be to isolate applications with virtual machines, but this involves a significant overhead on server resources, as each virtual machine must be equipped with an operating system. An alternative to virtual machines can be application containerization, which is growing in popularity. Containerization also allows to isolate applications, but operates on the server’s native operating system. This means eliminating the overhead on server resources present in virtual machines. This article presents an example of web application containerization.

This article presents the problem of measuring the impact of information disclosure aboutCSR activities on stock performance. The research was performed on two indexes which representPan-European capital market and local Central and Eastern European capital market. Differentmarket characteristics could limit the application of results presented in numerous studiesperformed on well-established markets. The information with relatively strong signal for investoris the inclusion to CSR index. In order to measure the investors’ reaction the event study analysiswas performed. It was proved that the short–term reaction was very similar on each market. Thereaction to announcement of CSR index inclusion was slightly negative, but this effect was offsetby the opposite reaction in the day of inclusion. The total reaction in the seven days event windowwas close to zero. However, the long-term reaction measured in 30 trading days window wasnegative for two markets, but the local market investors show more discontent.
