W pracy zwrócono uwagę na bieg synchroniczny generatora pracującego jako silnik w warunkach, kiedy wskutek awarii wyłącznika sieciowego jeden lub dwa bieguny pozostają w stanie zamkniętym. Określono wartość momentu maksymalnego, który teoretycznie może być rozwijany przez silnik w wymienionych stanach zasilania od strony sieci elektroenergetycznej. Założono, że strona GN transformatora blokowego jest połączona w gwiazdę z przewodem zerowym, strona DN w trójkąt.
The paper deals with the synchronous run of three – phase generator which works as a motor during single- and double-phase supply from electrical network. The maximal torque of the motor in this states was defined. The generator transformer connection is: HV winding-star with neutral conductor, LV winding-triangle.

Opis:
The estimation of power losses in ferromagnetic core of series reactor is described in comparison with losses in state of sinusoidal current magnetization. The Karasev's approach (5) was assumed taking into account the so called overloss coefficient An. The estimation was enlarged by application of Author's complex formula deduced from source work (6). The following parameters are needed: lamination thickness d, magnetic permeability µm, frequency f, electrical conductivity γ, specific mass ρ, elliptical hysteresis angle δ. The complex formula effectiveness was checked experimentally during sinusoidal flux excitation of the magnetic laminations (8).

Opis:
The short history of transformer production development in Poland taking into account high power and high voltage transformers had been presented. The specific achievements of polish transformer industry in second part of XX century and share polish scientists were underlined. The basic applications of modern transformers with extreme parameters as a generator transformers, power transformers, high voltage direct current converter transformers, phase–shifting transformers, distribution transformers have been described in the paper. The mechanical, thermal and dielectric considerations have been underlined. The actual state and future development of transformer technology taking into account high temperature superconductors and nitrogen cooling of the windings. The actual research trends in the field of design procedure, especially methods of modeling and electromagnetic field and forces calculations, new measurement methods of diagnostics during exploitation e.g. frequency response analysis, partial discharges measurements, transformer oil investigation were cited.

The analytical formulae for surface power losses and increase tendency of total losses in structural parts of transformer are given. The scales of power losses modeling in model law of transformer were used. The magnetic nonlinearity of steel is taken into account by parabolic function H=f(B) [2]. The relation of power losses in structural parts increase to fundamental losses in windings increase in function of linear modeling scale ml is presented in the paper.
W pracy podano wzory analityczne pozwalające na określenie strat powierzchniowych i tendencji do wzrostu strat całkowitych w stalowych częściach konstrukcyjnych transformatora. Wykorzystano prawo modelu transformatora wprowadzając skale modelowania strat. Nieliniowość magnetyczna została uwzględniona poprzez wprowadzenie parabolicznej funkcji natężenia pola magnetycznego w zależności od indukcji H=f(B) [2]. Określono stosunek wzrostu wymienionych strat w częściach stalowych do strat podstawowych w uzwojeniach, w funkcji skali wzrostu wymiarów liniowych transformatora ml.

Opis:
Author presents an analytical method of calculation of unit power losses in magnetic laminations used in electrical machines and transformers. The idea of this method, based on the solution of Maxwell's equations in the lamination material, was described by the author in the previous work [3], taking into account approximation of constitutive static hysteresis loop by elliptic form of the function B = f(H) depending on magnetic saturation. In the previous formula for new isotropic and anisotropic materials it is needed to introduce so called "anomaly coefficient" deduced from the comparison of measured and calculated value of power losses in arbitrary excitation frequency for assumed induction. The method was tested by comparison with the results of experiments presented in commercial catalogues [1, 2]. Assuming superposition of harmonic power losses it is possible to enlarge this method for the estimation of overloss coefficient in dynamo sheet during axial magnetization with nonsinusoidal flux generated e.g. by PWM voltage supply.

Opis:
Hydrocephalus is a pathological condition of the central nervous system which often affects neonates and young children. It manifests itself as an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within the ventricular system of the brain with its subsequent progression. One of the most important diagnostic methods of identifying hydrocephalus is Computer Tomography (CT). The enlarged ventricular system is clearly visible on CT scans. However, the assessment of the disease progress usually relies on the radiologist’s judgment and manual measurements, which are subjective, cumbersome and have limited accuracy. Therefore, this paper regards the problem of semi-automatic assessment of hydrocephalus using image processing and analysis algorithms. In particular, automated determination of popular indices of the disease progress is considered. Algorithms for the detection, semi-automatic segmentation and numerical description of the lesion are proposed. Specifically, the disease progress is determined using shape analysis algorithms. Numerical results provided by the introduced methods are presented and compared with those calculated manually by a radiologist and a trained operator. The comparison proves the correctness of the introduced approach.

Opis:
N-type indium doped CdTe grown on n$\text{}^{+}$-GaAs by molecular beam epitaxy has been studied by the standard deep level transient spectroscopy and the isothermal Laplace-transform deep level transient spectroscopy. It was found that the Cd/Te flux ratio strongly influences the deep level transient spectroscopy results. The unusual temperature dependence of the electron emission rate in films grown at nearly stoichiometric conditions may point out that the observed defect is resonant with the conduction band.

Opis:
Second harmonic generation, created by nanosecond Nd : YAG laser pulses at 1.064 µm with relatively low intensity in Cd$\text{}_{1-x}$Mn$\text{}_{x}$Te bulk crystals and thin layers was measured in transmission geometry. The effect practically occurs in a very thin surface layer of the material and it is used as a relatively straightforward method of layer quality characterization. It is shown that the angular dependence of the second harmonic generation intensity in thin layers of CdTe with good crystallographic (and optical) quality agrees very well with the theory in contrary to the samples with some distortions from the ideal structure which exhibits large distortions from the theory.

Opis:
In this paper we investigate electron emission/capture from/to the DX state of indium in CdTe by means of high pressure freeze-out cycle and steady-state photo-conductivity experiments. The results indicate that the DX state is occupied by two electrons. A comparison with deep level transient spectroscopy data shows that two-electron emission occurs at low temperatures, while one-electron emission takes place at high temperatures.

Opis:
The photoluminescence studies in CdTe/CdMnTe quantum wells are reported in the temperature range 10-300 K. The MnTe concentration in the barriers is x = 0.3, 0.5, 0.63 and 0.68. Thus the potential wells in our samples are very deep, of the order of ≈ 800 meV in the conduction band and ≈ 200 meV in the valence band in the case of the x = 0.68 sample. In spite of the large lattice mismatch (related to high x value) between the wells and the barriers the observed line widths are as narrow as 2 meV in the case of 100 Å. Clear manifestations of internal strain are observed. In particular, the temperature coefficient of the luminescence energies shows strong dependence on the width of wells.

Opis:
The interaction between CdTe and In during the formation of an ohmic contact has been investigated. Emphasis is placed on the study of the effect of thermally induced sublimation of cadmium on electrical properties of contacts. Presented results prove the effectiveness of cap annealing and rapid thermal processing in fabrication of improved ohmic contacts with limited Cd losses during the contacting procedure.
