The paper analyses the use of online media to conduct information policy in the parishes of the Roman Catholic Church in the Rzeszów diocese. The basis for the analysis is provided by two co-authored studies on the information policy of priests in the Diocese of Rzeszów conducted jointly with Dr Zbigniew Chmielewski at the turn of 2012 and 2013, and later repeated in 2018. The research was altogether carried out on the basis of similar methodological assumptions, which were implemented in a series of anonymous questionnaires. The paper focuses on the part of the research that concerned the use of Internet-related (online) media in the communication activities of the parish website, as well as social media (both official parish profiles in social media, as well as private profiles of priests).

The Servants of Dębica have been fulfilling the charisma which has been understood anew in the signs of the times after obtaining a full autonomy in 1891 in Tarnow Diocese. Since then, the Congregation has been working as an independent branch of The Servants Convent of the Mother of God (founded by Edmund Bojanowski in Wielkopolskie Province in 1850). In the community of the Church of Rzeszow have been present since the creation of the diocese in 1992, although in this area have been operating since almost a century (1893). In the diocese of Rzeszow, the servants of Dębica fulfill their ministry directly from the charism, primarily in the fields of education, education and catechesis of the youngest, and the service of the weakest: sick and in need of care. The maids are working in 5 localities (Nowy Kamień, Ropczyce, Ropczyce - Witkowice, Sędziszów, Szebnie). They are guided by 3 orphanages (Nowy Kamień, Ropczyce, Szebnie).

The article contains the analysis of the results of research on information policy implemented by priests in Roman Catholic parishes in the diocese of Rzeszów. The research was carried out from June to September 2018. It was conducted on the basis of anonymous questionnaire interviews. The research group consisted of 85 priests. The aim of the research is to analyze the application of information policy tools in the parishes of Rzeszów diocese and to check how priests define the concept of information policy, as well as what kind of tools they use to communicate with the faithful and which of them are preferred by their parishioners. Moreover, the author wanted to find out if they see the need for educational activities in the field of communication.

Te article describes the life of rev. Tadeusz Szetela (1925-2008) priest of Przemyśl and Rzeszów dioceses. His older brothers, Jan Bolesław and Stanisław Kazimierz who devoted themselves to God had an unquestionable impact on life path choice by young Tadeusz. Te author presents also difcult reality during T. Szetela’s seminary years, as well as work as a priest and catechist when he had to deal with laicization and antichurch tendencies among Polish society. Moreover, Tadeusz Szetela during his life participated in many national and patriotic events, as well as ministry activities (e.g. he worked as a prison pastor). Humble and priesthood devoted, rev. Tadeusz Szetela was awarded by Church authorities, e.g. he was promoted to a Chaplain of His Holiness rank in 1998.

The stock of local acts, books and other documents produced in parishes of the diocese of Tarnów since 1992 to the Diocese of Rzeszów and located in the resources of the Diocese Archive in Tarnów is substantial. Metric books (baptized, married and deceased) cover the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Some of them refer only to the nineteenth century. Moreover, documents from the departments of the deacon and canonical visits allow us to draw up an account of the history of particular parishes and deanships over the centuries. They provide valuable source material for research not only in the history of the Church, dioceses, but also in other departments of science. They are also an indisputable proof of the religiousness of the Diocese and the work of the clergy among the faithful.

This article discusses the scientific activity of the Rzeszów diocese in the years 1992−2017. It shows the formation of priests from seminary to solid formation and specialized studies, discusses the training of lay and religious catechists from the catechetical college, the supplementary master's studies to permanent formation and finally presents various forms of secular education in the Theological and Pastoral Institute in Rzeszow: doctoral seminars conducted by professors of the University of Warsaw, study of family theology taught by UPJP II in Cracow, BA and MA studies in family studies conducted by UR in Rzeszow, as well as Organist Study, Bible Study, University of the Third Age of the Diocese of Rzeszów. The scientific activities carried out by symposia, conferences and training, through publishing and media, are also important, especially through Radio Via.

The Diocese of Rzeszow, an administrative unit of the Roman Catholic Church, located in south-eastern Poland, was founded on March 25th, 1992 under the bull of John Paul II Totus tuus Poloniae populus. As a suffragan diocese, it entered the metropolis of Przemysl. Her patrons were announced: Bl. Bishop Joseph Sebastian Pelczar and Bl. Karolina Kózka, and to the rank of the cathedral church – the elevated church. The Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rzeszow. The territory covered by two dioceses - Przemysl (fourteen deanates) and Tarnow (the deanate of Kolbuszowa and 37 parishes separated from the five deanates); The total of 202 parishes and 4 rectors. Over the past quarter century several decanter network corrections have been made and many new parishes have been created. As a result of these actions - according to the data from 2016 - the territory of the diocese was divided into 25 deanates, 244 parishes and one rectorate. They lived mainly the faithful of the Roman Catholic Church. Representatives of other religions or denominations were a little percent. The diocese's administration was in the hands of the diocesan bishop. The office was performed by Bishop Kazimierz Górny (1992-2013) and Bishop Jan Wątroba (from 2013). On this mission was assisted by auxiliary bishop Edward Białogłowski. In the diocese there were also various offices, councils and diocesan institutions, such as the Diocesan Curia, the Bishop's Court, the Levitical Council, the chapters of the canons, the cultural and educational institutions (such as the Higher Seminary, the Diocesan Museum Diocesan media (eg Catholic Radio Via) and the Synod of the Diocese of Rzeszow were organized. Pastoral work in the diocese is mainly undertaken by diocesan priests. They are supported by lay people and religious catechists. The Church's mission is to give a priority to pastoral care, that is, the concern for the sanctification of the faithful. In the Diocese of Rzeszow, such as its ordinary and extraordinary forms were realized. The latter manifested above all in the functioning of pastoral and ecclesiastical organizations and in cyclic and occasional pastoral activities, such as pilgrimages, coronations with the graces of famous paintings, and celebrations of the Jubilee Year. The last time he enrolled in the permanent history of the diocese of Rzeszów; It was not only a strong foundation for its functioning, but also a faithful pastoral program, both in its ordinary and extraordinary forms. In Roman Catholic Church diocese in Rzeszów in December 2012 and January 2013 research was conducted, the main purpose of which was to define how information policy among priests and parishioners looks. During the research it was diagnosed what is meant by the definition of information policy between Church and parishioners. The research has also shown what kind of tools are used in order to communicate with parishioners and if these tools are efficient. The report presents the main communication barriers and what makes this communication more difficult as well. There were 81 respondents, who came from 81 different parishes within the diocese.

The article presents the history of the Bible Work of St. John Paul II in the Diocese of Rzeszów in the years 2006-2017. The first part refers to the origins of the association and its expectations from the Bishop of the Diocese, the Diocesan Curia and the Moderator. The Bible Work of St. John Paul II in the Diocese of Rzeszów was publicly inaugurated on 21 October 2006 during the Priestly Day of Holiness. The second part elaborates on the achievements of the described institution. Among them it should be listed: the establishment and running of the Bible Study of the Diocese of Rzeszów, the publication of the "Bible Bulletin", the organization of Bible competitions for primary school children, the organization of symposia and conferences, the organization of the Bible Week, cooperation with the University of the Third Age of the Diocese of Rzeszów. The last part of the article presents the personal status of the Biblical Work, which has permanently joined pastoral activities of the Diocese of Rzeszów.

Przedmiotem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie zwyczajów i obrzędów uczty weselnej. Celem zaś jest ich analiza oraz zwrócenie uwagi na zanik niektórych zwyczajów i pojawienie się nowych w parafii Rudna Wielka, koło Rzeszowa. Artykuł składa się z czterech punktów. Opisano w nich przygotowania młodych do wesela, jego rozpoczęcie, zabawy weselne oraz oczepiny. Źródło opracowania stanowią informacje uzyskane metodą etnograficznych badań terenowych nad obrzędowością weselną. Badania przeprowadzono w2011 roku w wioskach: Rudna Wielka, Rudna Mała i Pogwizdów Nowy. W XX wieku przygotowania do uczty weselnej rozpoczynały się tydzień wcześniej, zaś samo przyjęcie było u panny młodej obok domu. Obecnie młodzi planują wesele już nawet ok. roku wcześniej, odbywa się ono teraz w domu ludowym, w domu weselnym, restauracji albo hotelu. Para musi odpowiednio wcześniej zarezerwować salę, fotografa, zaprosić gości. Po ślubnej Mszy świętej, młodzi wraz z gośćmi udają się do lokalu, w którym ma odbyć się przyjęcie, witani są oni tam chlebem i solą, po czym pan młody przenosi swoją żonę przez próg. Następnie wznoszony jest toast, po czym wszyscy zasiadają do obiadu. Po skończonym posiłku nowożeńcy tańczą swój pierwszy taniec, następnie udają się na fotograficzną sesję ślubną. Przed północą organizowane są przez orkiestrę różnego rodzaju zabawy, w których uczestniczą zarówno zaproszeni goście, rodzice nowożeńców, jak również oni sami. O północy odbywają się oczepiny. Wierzono, że ci, którzy złapią krawat i welon, w niedługim czasie staną na ślubnym kobiercu. Młodzi wychodzącym gościom dziękują za przybycie, zapraszają ich na poprawiny oraz obdarowują ciastem.
The subject of this article is to present the customs and rituals of the wedding reception. The purpose of these is analysis and pay attention to the disappearance some customs and appears new in the parish of Rudna Wielka, near Rzeszow. This article consists of four points. They describe the preparation of young people for weddings, its beginning, wedding games and capping ceremony. Source of the study is based on information obtained by ethnographic field research on wedding rituals. The study was conducted in 2011 in the villages of Rudna Wielka, Rudna Mała and Pogwizdów Nowy. In the 20th century preparations for the wedding reception began a week earlier and the party was next to the house of the bride. Currently, the young are planning a wedding already a year before, now it takes place in the folk house, wedding house, restaurant or hotel. Couple must book the ballroom, photographer, invite guests in advance. After the mass, the young along with the guests go to the place where the reception is to take place, where they are welcomed with bread and salt, then the groom carries his wife over the threshold. Then is toast and everyone sit down to dinner. After the end of the meal, the newlyweds dance their first dance, then go to the wedding session. Before midnight, the orchestra organizes different types of games, which involve everyone invited guest, parents of honeymooners and themselves. At midnight the capping ceremony takes place. It was believed that those who catch a tie and veil will soon get married. Young thank the leaving guests for coming, invite them to after-party and give them a cake.

Opis:
The aim of this article is to show the customs and rituals associated with the marriage ceremony in the parish of Rudna Wielka, near Rzeszów. The article consists of three points. These relate to: civil wedding and a church wedding, preparing of the newlyweds for the wedding ceremony and the course of the wedding Mass. This study is based on information obtained from ethnographic fieldwork on wedding rituals. The study was conducted in 2011 in the villages of: Rudna Wielka, Rudna Mała and Pogwizdów Nowy. In the twentieth century, a young couple first got civil wedding, and then the church wedding. Since 1998, the couple can have a concordat wedding. From early morning the future bride and groom were preparing for the celebration in their own homes. When a groom arrived at bride’s home, the couple was blessed and everyone went to church. At that time, the inhabitants of a village made weeding gates and they blocked the couple's way to the church. Then the best man, or father of the groom, paid for making the way to the church with vodka. When the wedding procession reached the church Mass began. After taking the oath priest confirmed the validity of a marriage, blessed wedding rings, then to sign the marriage the spouses put the rings on each other’s right hands. After Mass, the couple signed the marriage act. In front of the church the guests were throwing money at the couple since it was believed that it will bring them luck. The guests congratulated the couple and gave them presents. After that they all took a picture in front of the church, and then went to the place of the wedding.

There are 148 pipe organs at churches in diocese of Rzeszów, 62 instruments areconsidered to be antique. One of the criterion of being antique is the age of the instrument. InPoland organs built before 1939 are antique. The subject of the article are the antique organsin the churches of Rzeszów diocese, which have not had separate study so far. These organsare in churches: Boguchwała, Brzyska, Dębowiec, Kąty, Kupno, Wola Rafałowska.The article was divided into two parts. The first one presents history of the church,the history of the instruments which survived and did not survived. As far as survived organsare concerned the description inventory was given (location and dimension of organ case,disposition, range of keyboards, action, kind of bellows). The second part includes a synthesisof analytical results.The article is based on material which was found in Archdiocesan Archive inPrzemyśl and Diocese Archive in Rzeszów. The information about organs are in 31 sources.The author conducted also query research at parish archives. The author used printed sourcesand information from books.When it comes to not survived organs there is information about 5 instruments. Itwas impossible to establish builders of these instruments. One may assume that theyfunctioned in the churches from 17th to the 19th century.In case of survived organs three of them were transferred (Dębowiec, Kąty, Kupno).At this stage of the study it was possible to determine the date of creation and builders of fiveinstruments. The present article, on the example of selected sanctuaries of the diocese of Rzeszów, undertakes the question of ability of the sanctuaries to justify the credibility of the Christianity. According to author of the article sanctuaries can play role of premises in some arguments of credibility of the Christianity that are formulated in fundamental theology school of Lublin. In this function article shows sanctuaries as premises of martyrological, goods-bringing, hope-giving, and cultur-making arguments. In a martyrological one sanctuary premise emphasizes a meaning of martyrs as a witnesses of Christian faith, accents continuity of saving activity of God, especially through mediation of Mary and saints. It also draw attention to man as a witness of works of God’s grace and to his testimony. In goods-bringing argument sanctuaries show role of saints and Mary's in receiving goods from God. Sanctuaries are places where God gives to man spiritual and physical goods or restores them. Moreover, sanctuaries are places where man is stimulated to do good. In hope-giving argument sanctuary premises indicated that sanctuaries are places of hope and places of confirming this hope, which has basic in Resurrection of Christ. Sanctuaries play an important role in strengthen and build of final hope, which give sense to the whole of man's life, and enable man to act in true and freedom. In culutre-making argument sanctuary premises justify its role in forming man as creator and recipient of the culture. Sanctuaries lead to the highest values, help to discover and experience beauty. Sanctuaries are also related to works of art such as painting, sculpture, architecture, literature and music. They have also importance for the development of education.

The Synod of the Diocese of Rzeszów, the Synod of the Archdiocese of Poznań, the Parish Economic Council, the Code of Canon Law, parish, Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, Bishop Kazimierz Górny, the role of the laity in the life of the Church
Opis:
In the light of the current Code of Canon Law, according to Cann. 537, the parish priest is obliged to appoint the parish economic council whose responsibility is to abide by both the common law and the regulations issued by the bishop of the diocese. This paper presents and discusses the current charter of the Parish Economic Council of the Archdiocese of Poznań which was approved on February 20, 2007 by Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Poznań. It is not clear why the Synod of the Diocese of Rzeszów does not mention the idea of the parish economic council. There is no information on the charter of the parish economic council among the charters approved by the Synod. The Canon law, both common and particular, stresses that the parish economic council is a body providing advisory and support services to the parish priests in administering the parish resources. The council consists of 3 to 7 members depending on the size of the parish, and its term of office lasts 4 years. At the same time, it is important to mention that the only legal representative of the parish in terms of the governance of its resources is the parish priest and he is the only person that can make valid decisions in this respect.
