This article presents a cycle of lyrical works entitled Z motywów Chopina (From Chopin’s themes) by Artur Oppman, published in 1893 in the volume Pieśni (Songs). The shape of this cycle had been modified over the years. In 1908, the poet changed its title and expanded it with new works. This change testifies to the evolution of the creative concept and the set of ideas about the function of the composer’s work. Contrary to the opinion rooted in the tradition of research about the conventional approach to the impact of Chopin’s work presented in Oppman’s lyrical poetry, the authors of the article demonstrate a far-reaching originality of the discussed work, focusing their attention both on issues related to understanding the narrowly-defined poetological knowledge and on the problem of translating musical means of expression into the language of a literary work.

The formal requirements for authors of environmental impact assessment reports have changed over time. At present, such authors are required to demonstrate specific education or professional experience. A project information card is a similar document to an impact assessment report, drafted during an environmental impact assessment. Unlike in the case of impact assessment reports, at present, authors of project information cards are not obliged to meet any formal requirements. Despite the different formal requirements applicable, both these documents can constitute grounds for issuing decisions on environmental conditions. This may allow circumvention of the main idea behind introducing formal requirements for authors of environmental impact assessment reports, i.e. the improvement in the quality of environmental studies. Therefore, if legal regulations require authors of environmental impact assessment reports to meet certain formal requirements, why should the same requirements not be demanded from authors of information cards which form the grounds for issuing decisions on environmental conditions?

Each day more than 3,000 people are killed in the transport system worldwide, most of whom are victims of road accidents. Poland, just like the other EU countries, experiences a disproportion between the number of road accidents and other transport accidents. Each mode has a different safety management system with different databases, transport infrastructure authorities and accident investigation bodies, systems for tracking the movement of vehicles, trains and ships. Although significantly dissimilar, transport modes and their safety management systems can be improved through integration and the use of good national and international practice in the entire transport sector. This is in line with the European Union's policy, which in its 2001 White Paper encouraged member states to undertake work on a European methodology of independent transport safety investigation. ZEUS Project with its aim to build a structure of integrated transport safety system in Poland is an example of the work. International experience shows that an independent investigation agency working across all modes of transportation can most effectively improve safety. An intermodal agency provides economy of operation, transfer of safety lessons between different modes of transportation, the advancement of new and innovative investigation techniques and the ability to focus on key issues of concern in all modes. It is therefore suggested that serious consideration be given to a unified independent agency wherever it is feasible.

Underground extraction of coal is characterized by high variability of mining and geological conditions in which it is conducted. Despite ever more effective methods and tools, used to identify the factors influencing this process, mining machinery, used in mining underground, work in difficult and not always foreseeable conditions, which means that these machines should be very universal and reliable. Additionally, a big competition, occurring on the coal market, causes that it is necessary to take action in order to reduce the cost of its production, e.g. by increasing the efficiency of utilization machines. To meet this objective it should be pro-ceed with analysis presented in this paper. The analysis concerns to availability of utilization selected mining machinery, conducted using the model of OEE, which is a tool for quantitative estimate strategy TPM. In this article we considered the machines being part of the mechanized longwall complex and the basis of analysis was the data recording by the industrial automation system. Using this data set we evaluated the availability of studied machines and the structure of registered breaks in their work. The results should be an important source of information for maintenance staff and management of mining plants, needed to improve the economic efficiency of underground mining.

The article presents internal transport system and principles of transport organization, in order to indicate that the effectiveness of material flow management in a warehouse depends on the transport strategy used by a manufacturing plant. In the paper different means of transport enabling movement of components and semi-finished products are described. From the perspective of industrial plants, minimizing the number of transport resources and maximizing the use of devices needed to operate the storage process play an important role in effective implementation of logistics processes. At the same time, it is necessary to optimize the transport processes in terms of both time and costs. In the paper the possibility to meet these requirements on the example of a high-bay warehouse is verified, based on simulation of loading and unloading operations. Indicators intended to assess the quality of storage process are presented and used to determine the optimal number of transport resources required to operate the proposed warehouse. The results obtained during simulations are the basis for discussion on the influence of a number of transport resources on operating time of the analyzed warehouse.

The environmental impact assessment system is designed to ensure proper environmental protection mainly at the design stage of the planned project. A serious threat to the proper operation of this system is the division of projects into smaller ones, so that they do not fall under this procedure. This practice is called „salami slicing”. One of the reasons for such behaviour of investors and administrative bodies is the misinterpretation of the term „technological connection”, which has not been defined in legal regulations yet.

Obecnie obserwuje się praktykę zwiększania szczegółowości i objętości kart informacyjnych przedsięwzięcia, w literaturze przedmiotu brak jednak rozważań na temat tego, co taki dokument powinien zawierać. W artykule przeanalizowano, jakie dane powinny się znaleźć w karcie informacyjnej. Zwrócono też uwagę na żądania dotyczące podania informacji, których nie przewiduje ustawa, wysuwane niekiedy przez organy administracji.
The practice of increasing the detail and size of project information cards is currently observed. However, there are no detailed considerations in the literature on what such a document should contain. The article analyzes what information should be included in the information sheet of the project. Attention was also drawn to the practice of requesting information that does not have to be included in this document, which sometimes occurs on the part of administrative bodies.

In this paper, disruption of brazing process impact on behavior of filler metal and properties of the joint was investigated. Hastelloy X sheet samples were brazed using Ni-13Cr-4Fe-4Si-2,7B filler alloy. Two identical sets of samples were heated in high vacuum, once load reached specified temperature process was interrupted. Subsequently, one set of samples was tested and second set was subjected to rebrazing in proper time and temperature, dedicated for used filler material. Disruption of the process in following temperature was analyzed: 930, 960, 1050, 1127, 1145, 1170°C. After both processes macroscopic observations of joint, peel test, static tensile test and spreadability analysis were carried out.

Artykuł dotyczy planowania zdolności produkcyjnych wirtualnego przedsiębiorstwa zajmującego się produkcją trójfazowego silnika asynchronicznego. Jako narzędzie wykorzystano komponent planowania zdolności produkcyjnych (CRP) zintegrowanego systemu informatycznego IFS Applications. Komponent ten ściśle współpracuje z komponentem planowania potrzeb materiałowych MRP (ang. Material Requirements Planning).
Capacity Requirements Planning in the virtual company producing three-phase asynchronous motor is presented. Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP) component of the Integrated Manufacturing System (IFS) Applications was used. CRP component closely cooperated with the Material Requirements Planning component.

This paper presents a generalized job-shop problem taking into consideration transport time between workstations and setups machines in deadlock-free operating conditions. The automated transportation system, employing a number of automated guided vehicles is considered. The completion time of all jobs was applied as the optimization criterion. The created computational application was used to solve this problem in which chosen priority algorithms (FIFO, LIFO, LPT, SPT, EDD and LWR) were implemented. Various criteria were used to assess the quality of created schedules. Numerical results of the comparative research were presented for various criteria and rules of the priority.

The paper presents a Car Sequencing Problem, widely considered in the literature. The issue considered by the researchers is only a reduced problem in comparison with the problem in real automotive production. Consequently, a new concept, called Paint Shop 4.0., is considered from the viewpoint of a sequencing problem. The paper is a part of the previously conducted research, identified as Car Sequencing Problem with Buffers (CSPwB), which extended the original problem to a problem in a production line equipped with buffers. The new innovative approach is based on the ideas of Industry 4.0 and the buffer management system. In the paper, sequencing algorithms that have been developed so far are discussed. The original Follow-up Sequencing Algorithm is presented, which is still developed by the authors. The main goal of the research is to find the most effective algorithm in terms of minimization of painting gun changeovers and synchronization necessary color changes with periodic gun cleanings. Carried out research shows that the most advanced algorithm proposed by the authors outperforms other tested methods, so it is promising to be used in the automotive industry.
