The value of annual request for final energy FE kWh/(m year) and for non-renewable primary energy expressed by means of PE indicator in kWh/(m year) depending on the kind of applied heat source were determined in the paper. The following sources of heat were compared: devices using coal or natural gas or biomass and heat pumps. From the final energy FE request view-point, heat pumps proved the best sources, where asconcerning Peindex, the use of biomass boilers was the most advantageous.
