Analiza SWOT jako narzędzie służące poprawie preorientacji zawodowej na przykładzie Tambowskiego Państwowego Uniwersytetu Technicznego

Effective and efficient management in an organization, regardless of a nature of a business, requires a series of strategic actions. It is necessary to analyse the situation in which the organization is functioning. It is of a vital importance for such institutions as universities. Wanting to attract students, they should try to become a part of current trends. Therefore, schools often operate in the field of career preorientation to focus young people and their aspirations on the right direction. This is a very complex process because it requires committing not only a university but also potential candidates for studies and their parents or other family members. The Tambov State University of Technology is undergoing such a venture. Analyzing one's situation, the authorities of the university decide to radically change activities so far conducted in the indicated field. This article is a record of actions that have been taken as a part of the SWOT analysis performed at The Tambov State University of Technology. It also contains the specification of the results achieved by the executors at the end of each phase of the analysis and it presents the final outcomes of the study. The choice of the tool - SWOT analysis - was supported by its popularity as well as universal character. The analysis was performed by a special project team appointed by the rector of the university. The primary purpose of the task was to organize information and prepare a plan to improve career preorientation.
