Polska edukacja na obczyźnie 1939–1950. Świadectwa szkół i kursów. Polish education in exile 1939–1950 – wystawa zbiorów prof. Marka Ney-Krwawicza

Aim: To show the significance of the exhibition of over 100 school and course certificates collected from 23 countries as a reflection of educational achievements in wartime exile in different parts of the world. Methods: A method appropriate for research on the history of a pedagogical thought and social sciences especially based on archival sources has been applied herein. Results: The introductory part hereof briefly depicts the size of Polish education in exile, and then the most typical school certificates issued in Polish schools in different parts of the world were presented. A general characterization of the certificates was made, with particular emphasis on their place in the educational law of the interwar period. Some photographs of the school certificates were also included. Conclusions: It was indicated that despite many difficulties, thanks to the great generosity of the teachers and the diligence of the students, good results were achieved in the education and in terms of strengthening the national identity of the young generation of Poles abroad.
