Infrastruktura transportu jako czynnik determinujący rolę transportu kolejowego w obsłudze przewozów ładunków i osób w województwie zachodniopomorskim

W artykule autor dokonał analizy stanu infrastruktury transportu kolejowego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem obszaru województwa zachodniopomorskiego. Ponadto podjął próbę wskazania jej roli w kształtowaniu obecnego, jak również przyszłego udziału tej gałęzi transportu w przewozach pasażerskich i towarowych w badanym regionie.

Transport infrastructure is one of the main factors affecting the functioning of the transport service market. Its quantitative as well as qualitative condition has a direct impact on the degree of implementation and meeting transport needs of the demand side of the market. At the same time, this state also affects the ability to provide transport services by the supply side of the market. Properly developed transport infrastructure can be a stimulant for the particular area, increasing its role and competitiveness with respect to the environment. It can also increase the attractiveness of the region in terms of location of new investments, capital inflows and technology transfer. In this article the author has analyzed the state of railway transport infrastructure, with particular emphasis on the area of Zachodniopomorskie province. It was also attempted to identify its role in shaping the present as well as the future role of transport in passenger and freight transport in the studied region.
