Santorini Island is one of the archipelago of Cyclades, which counted a total of 211 small islands. They are located in the southern part of the Aegean Sea on the south-eastern coast of Greece. Climate prevailing on them can be easily described as paradisiac. That is why so many people (me included) wish to spend their holidays there. The name Cyclades means „these around” and define islands located around the island of Delos, which was the religious center of this region of Greece. My dream came true during vacations on Crete. From that place I went to discover these mysterious islands. Santorini Island is not normal, such as the other. This is a unique island, shaped by the liquid volcanic lava, which poured from the depths of the earth, rise above the surface of the sea and set up a black-red block with steep divides, stone massif of raw colors, making an extraordinary impression. Dark blue color of sea, brown, red and black color of earth, makes incredible and unique beauty of wild nature. Santorini is associated primarily with a clear view of the beautiful homes built on cliffs. This is presented on the postcards and guides. I have dreamed about the trip to this island since I saw white and blue houses on some illustrations for the first time. Greece is a country that I always wanted to visit. There are many places worth visiting. One of them is undoubtedly the Santorini, Thira called by the Greeks.
